This' the rock,my cleft in whom i hide
Though am weary, coz its been long,
On the road marked with trials,
And passage i do not like,
In the land yonder, i see my rock.
When the winds blow against me
When the Sun burns down
And the Ocean rises
Lord you are my rock.
On this rock, am planted,
My very source and foundation.
Though my spirit grows faint,
I will behold his face.
Your Joy is with me always
Borne on your wings,
Your nourished me on your word.
That i may be astute.
Oh ancient word, in you i exult.
Though am weary, coz its been long,
On the road marked with trials,
And passage i do not like,
In the land yonder, i see my rock.
When the winds blow against me
When the Sun burns down
And the Ocean rises
Lord you are my rock.
On this rock, am planted,
My very source and foundation.
Though my spirit grows faint,
I will behold his face.
Your Joy is with me always
Borne on your wings,
Your nourished me on your word.
That i may be astute.
Oh ancient word, in you i exult.
