Father, I am so sorrowful. I feel like Hannah. I know not what to do anymore and I am beyond all comprehension. I am asking now Father that you would hear my cries, hear my prayer, see my need and consider my desire, and please Lord, answer this prayer.
I am not looking for simply and yes or no, but I am seeking wisdom and guidance. I am coming to you Lord as your child and daughter, looking to you as my Father. I have this want, Father, I have this desire, and I am seeking your guidance. I have all these emotions and feelings and reasons and motives, but I am merely human, and but a child at that, so I don’t know what to do with all these things; I can’t even begin to understand them. So I give them all to you, Father. I commit them all to you, and just as the Bible says I am waiting for you to establish my thoughts and bring my plans into fruition and success. I am waiting, and I am praying that you will do this. I am here Father, as your child, knowing not what to do, but asking you for wisdom on this matter, for guidance in this situation. Not simply as a yes or no, but as a leading hand. Please make the path straight and clear before my eyes. Please give me the discernment and wisdom to recognize your leading and know where to go, and what to do. Please Father do not leave me in this uncertainty, but guide me to the right way, and lead me out of this wilderness. I am not simply asking for a temporary relief, or temporary comfort, I am asking that you will lead me for once and all out of this trial. I am ready Lord to be out. I am ready to be done. Perhaps it is not my place to determine when this is over; I cannot know your perfect timing. But Jesus said you receive not because you ask not, Father I am asking that this will soon be over.
I commit this all to you Lord. I commit everything to you. This desire, these emotions, these feelings, these reasons, my wants, and my needs… please take them, Father, and sort them out for me. I am looking to you, Father, for guidance. I need you to show me the way. Please show me. Please guide me. The bible says if anyone lacks wisdom we are but to ask… I am asking Lord, please don’t leave me in this uncertainty. I am not here Lord to tell you what I want, and demand that you give it to me. I am instead presenting to you my desire, and praying for guidance. Lord, lead me as a Father would, to know what is best in this situation, and which way I should go. Do not leave me in this uncertainty. If this is the wrong way than tell me Lord. Tell me true. Detach all those ways from me, and lead me only in your ways. If it is not a desire that you have placed in my heart than I need for you to change it, morph it, transform it, take it away, change it into a Godly desire. Give me, Father, what you want for my, not what I want. Your will be done, not mine. I want only Your will, oh Lord, and I need you to reveal that to me. You alone know the motives of every desire; you alone know my heart that well. I ask that you will weigh those motives Lord, for they are good in my own sight, but I am but a human. Show me the motives, show me what you find. And reveal to me your will, oh Lord, and your way. I am praying that you will show me soon what that way is. Make it clear, make it distinct, make it known in my heart. Do not leave me in this uncertainty. If this is not the way, Father, please tell me so. If this desire is not the way then Father I need you to let me know. Make it clear, make it impossibly clear. I am desperate to know and you must tell me. And again Father, I’m not just looking for a yes or no answer, but for guidance. If this is not the way then guide me to the right way Lord. Lead me there. Transform this desire that it would lead me there. I need you to help me Lord, and I am waiting for an answer soon.
Just as Hannah came to you with a sorrowful heart, and lifted her desire to you oh Lord, I am here too, with a sorrowful heart lifting my desire to you, and waiting for your reply; waiting for your answer; waiting for your guidance. And just as she made a vow to you Lord, I promise, too, commitment. So I pray Lord, as Hannah did, asking for guidance, committing my desire to you, and making a commitment; and now I pray that you will answer me as you did her, Lord, so long ago. You are the same yesterday today and tomorrow Lord, so please be the same for me here now. If this is not the way, then guide me to it, and Father, if this is the way, then bless me through it. I need assurance, and guidance, and confidence, but more than that I am seeking an answer Lord. I am seeking your answer to this prayer. Please answer me Lord. I will be waiting.
Hear the cries of your daughter, and answer my prayer. Father, I need your help now more than ever, and I pray that you would surely help me. I am trusting in you Lord, not in my understanding; resting on your faithfulness, and finding comfort in the things of you. I am delighting in you oh Lord, please give me the desires of my heart. I am committing all my ways to you oh Lord, please bring it to pass. I am committing my works to you, oh Lord, please establish my thoughts. Do not deprive me of wisdom nor understanding, but give me wisdom because I lack it, and I ask. And renew my mind Lord, with the things of You. Father, I come to you as your child, lead me.
I pray for a quick answer. I am asking all this in faith and in Christ. I believe Lord, help my unbelief. Hear my prayer, and hear my cries. Remember me, and consider my request. Bless me with understanding and discernment. Do not leave me in this uncertainty. Indeed look upon the affliction and anguish of Your daughter and remember me, and do not forget your promises nor me. Remember me, oh Lord, and answer my prayer. I am right here waiting for you, waiting until my change comes.
