Hi ya'll!!
I haven't been here for a while, but I have been on a wonderful journey with God. I got saved and baptised over the summer, but I really didn't know where to go from there. On one of the first couple of days of November my phone rang. It was a woman from our church looking for my sister-in-law. That day like so many others, I was a complete wreck. I had lost my job in October and I was at the end of my rope. I felt no connection with God and had very little faith that the stories I had heard about him working in people's lives were even true. I thought that "talking with God was just something that people exaggereated to make themselves look better. Well, that day Kelli and I ended up talking for 3 hours. We began talking everyday, and she started teaching me how to connect with God on a level that I never knew existed. She has truly saved me spiritually. The thing that happened next was truly a miracle. My friend needs back surgery. she was hit by an uninsured motorist 3 years ago. prior to the accident, she had a successful career and almost everything money could buy. Well, she has been almost completly incompacitated for 3 years, hardly able to get out of bed. Without surgery, all the doctors can do is pain managment. She needs disc surgery at the L5-S1 level. Well, last week, God spoke to me saying that he wanted me to get her surgery done for her. i found a new laser procedure online in Florida and we are waiting to make sure she is a good candidate for the surgery. The thing is, the out-of-pocket expense is $30,000. I don't know how I will raise the money. If anybody has any ideas, please let me know.
