Praise the LORD, all you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth. For he loves us with unfailing love; the LORD's faithfulness endures forever. Praise the LORD! Psalm 117:1-2
Christians demonstrate wisdom every time they praise God. Nations who honor God make the right choices. Every bit of praise and every word of honor should be a response to the God who never fails to love and who demonstrates His faithfulness every moment of each new day.
Some translations say God’s love is steadfast. This word suggests something immovable—like a mountain or a house-sized boulder in the middle of a stream. God’s love is unfailing, powerful, and guaranteed to last forever. It’s not going anywhere.
You can’t earn it, make Him love you more, or make Him love you less. You’re one of His creations, and His love extends to every human ever born—even the ones you don’t like.
This is where the praise should be lavished on a magnificent God. He’s good. He’s almighty. He loves you. Praise and honor isn’t simply an “Atta boy!” shouted out to God. Your praise should take the time to think of the many blessings you’ve discovered in your walk with God that brought you to this moment. By remembering the past you’re able to see more clearly that God’s unfailing love has always been enough to get you to, through, and beyond life’s toughest moments.
