Michael and the body of Moses

In Jude 9 it says, "But Michael, the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, "the Lord rebuke you."

I know that Michael is mentioned as a prince in Daniel 12:1. He is mentioned as standing guard over the people. But, what I am wondering about is where this idea came from that Michael argued with the devil over the body of Moses. It appears the Lord buried Moses in the valley of Moab, but it doesn't say anything about an argument (Deut 34:7). This sounds more like cultural, verbal stories that have been passed down. what would they be arguing about?

So when Moses died (no one knows exactly where in Moab) his body was still required for a few things.
In Luke 9:30 the disciples recognized Moses, maybe they recognized his spirit, but maybe they recognized his body?
Also some believe that Moses will be one of the witnesses in Revelation during the tribulation, so his body will be needed again if that is the case.
So if Elijah was also on the mount of transfiguration, why didn't satan argue about his body?
Because he was taken up to heaven in a chariot of fire and wasn't buried in the earth.

So your sayiing that this is related in some way to Moses possibly being one of the two witnesses mentioned in Revelations 11. Yet, it doesn't say that Moses is one of the two witnesses. People get that because it mentions turning water into blood and plagues which sounds simliar to what Moses did to Egypt.
The statement in Jude sounds more like a cultural myth than something that I can really believe is true. It makes it sound like Michael and the devil were arguing like children over the body of Moses.

Moses did not age ! God did something with moses because He was in perfect health , yet OLD ! Maybe satan wanted to find out , what God did in moses body ?

Might be another reason ?

Mankind may find out what is causing us to die ! After all we were created to live forever more ! The are things we just do not fully understand ?

Sure many were watching Moses , as HE was very important to GOD plans ! satan hated Israel from its beginning ! he still does ! he thought he had done them in ! But God bought many back too israel in 1948 making them a nation again ! He started with Israel and HE ends with Israel !

It does sound very much like it is assumed the readers know already about the story about michael and Satan. Since the story is not explained itself. It does seem that the passages emphasizes how Michael was careful with his words, even when speaking with Satan. It doesn't answer my original question or thought about is this story real or should it be considered a cultural verbal story passed down by others and really more of a myth than something that really happened.

How do you interpret it when it appears cultural issues were affecting how scripture was written?

Personally I DO NOT THINK Moses is one of the two ! It appointed unto man to die at least once ! Enoch and elijah have not died yet ! They both must come back and die ! That alone does not prove it them ! but it sure appears too me it is the two !

We do see many have died more than once ! My own testamony is i too have died more than once already ! It really does not mean anything ! Except for the fact i can tell others what it like for each of us !

The sinner who has refused GOD FREE GIFT of eternal life ! And those born into His Family and Household !

For Us a place where we GAIN ! For them a worse place of greater suffering !

It really amazing How satan tricked so many to refuse this Wonderful gift of Eternal life for FREE !

So your saying that God won't transform our bodies physically also. Then why would it be important that the dead rise from the grave?

Our flesh returns to the dust of the Earth it belongs too 1 just as plants and animals and others creatures here do !
