The Apostle’s entire mission-strategy was “That I might by all means save some”.
He was single-minded, enterprising, resourceful, and matching the moment with the means. At the beginning in Africa I realized that the then “mission method” would take a thousands years to reach a quarter of the continent, and that I wouldn’t have that time.
People need the Lord desperately.
If methods don’t work, we better discard them. Methods are not sacrosanct. Faithfulness is not sticking to outdated systems.
Faithfulness is imaginative, bold, believing. The Pauline strategy was love-based, not business- and church-growth-based. Love is inventive. That is how I understand evangelism. Can you agree?
(Have just arrived in Africa for the next CfaN Gospel Campaign). Blessings, REINHARD BONNKE
