Mask
by Jennifer L. Faust
Take the mask off.
You don't need it anymore.
I want to meet you face to face.
So take the mask off.
Take the mask off.
She hides her pain
behind a crooked smile.
Her silent scream chokes
her life's breath away.
And no one hears her cries.
A voice soft as a vapor
whispers through the night.
And awakes Heaven's Light.
<My child, don't you realize
the Truth that I love you?
No need to wear the masks.>
She tears the mask from her face,
weeping all the pain away.
And huge arms wrap around her
and carry her to His lap.
<Come, my child. And you shall find rest.>
