Man Was Created To Be GOD

Many people are unaware of God's purpose for creating mankind. God created humanity because the Father and the Son desired to expand their family with beings who could ultimately become like them. Let's examine several scriptures that proves this idea as it written in 1 Thessalonians 5: 21.

John 10: 23 - 25, 30 - 36
23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.

24 Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

25 Jesus answered them,
I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

30 I and my Father are one.

Both Jesus and the Father are part of the Godhead. The Jews clearly understood that Jesus was claiming to be God, as shown by their reaction below.

31 Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

32 Jesus answered them,
Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

33 The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

34 Jesus answered them,
Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

Indeed, it is written in the Law, exactly as Jesus stated.

35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;

36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

What Jesus stated here is profound, yet it appears to have gone over the heads of the Jews and much of the world.

Psalm 82
1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.

I hear people say all the time that only God can judge me. Jesus stated that his words would judge mankind, and Psalm 82 appears to describe God judging among other "gods" (notice the lowercase "g"). So who are these gods among whom God is judging?

2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.

This passage is saying that these "gods" are being rebuked for judging unjustly. How could that be, when they are gods??

3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

This is what Jesus was quoting when he was talking in John 10.

7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.

But if these beings are called gods, why are they dying like men? Because this is talking about mankind. We disobeyed our God who gave us dominion over his animals that he created. God did all of that so we can practice ruling to be just like him. See Genesis 1. However instead we choose to accept the person of the wicked and we are falling just like Satan.

Philippians 2: 5 - 9
5 Let this mind be in you
, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Here Paul is plainly instructing believers to adopt the same mindset that Christ demonstrated.

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

We literally look just like God. So what the scripture is saying is God has ears where we have them, mouth, eyes, nose, hands and feet.

When you look into a mirror and see yourself, that's exactly the way God looks, he just have a different face. God made us to look just like him, he just didn't give us an eternal body; in other words we are not perfect like him. Read Genesis 1: 26. If I make a statue after my own image then the statue will look like a man but it's a statue and therefore it cannot move.

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

The reward for obeying GOD is great indeed because he is giving us power to be like him. The reward for disobeying GOD is also great because eternity is a long time for anyone to spend in the lake of fire.

When GOD changes our body that's when we have authority like him and we can sit on the thrown with him as he promised us

Philippians 3: 20 - 21
20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

1 John 3: 1 - 2
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Amen, we will be just like God.

Revelation 3: 21 - 22
21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

This is actually one of God's promises and I hardly hear anyone talk about it.
