LUKE 7:31 ESV DOESN'T HAVE "AND THE LORD SAID"

[Luke 7:31 KJV] "And the Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?"

[Luke 7:31 ESV] ""To what then shall I compare the people of this generation, and what are they like?"

The ESV and other Bibles don't have "and the Lord said"

Are all of these threads arguing for KJV only? The KJV is my favorite translation but other translations are useful too. For example in this verse I strongly prefer the NKJV.

[IS 45:7 KJV] I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

[IS 45:7 NKJV] I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the LORD, do all these things.

I saw someone suggest that all of these arguments could go into one thread and I tend to agree. At the very least add a unique tag in the subject e.g. [KJV-ONLY-ARGS] that allows a search to find all these useful arguments in one place.

I am only comparing Bibles
It's up to you to determine any significance

May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom

Just out of curiosity, what did the Holy Spirit teach people?

Jesus told us that he couldn't tell us everything because it was too much for us at this time. But he also said that he would send the paraclete, or the Holy Spirit. And indeed after Jesus rose to heaven, the Holy Spirit did come down on the apostles. What is it that is the teachings of the Holy Spirit that Jesus couldn't tell us?

Did you know that in the Hebrew scripture there is a particular word that is used when God speaks. This particular word has no English translation.

If you know your grammar, this particular word is a singular plural noun. Our language doesn't have anything like it. So basically all of the scriptures written in English are faulty, because no one can translate it into English.

When God says to Moses, " I am who am " . This phrase is completely incorrect. The correct pronunciation of this phrase would be " I's am whom am ".

For the scholarly out there, I find it remarkable that people forget in the English culture, that the Jews already recognized that there is God the Father and the Holy Spirit. But they recognized it more as God and His Spirit but they were recognize them as one

Your silence on IS 45:7 speaks volumes and I am indeed concluding something.
The KJV translates Strong's H7451 in the following manner: evil (442x), wickedness (59x), wicked (25x), mischief (21x), hurt (20x), bad (13x), trouble (10x), sore (9x), affliction (6x), ill (5x), adversity (4x), ill favoured (3x), harm (3x), naught (3x), noisome (2x), grievous (2x), sad (2x), miscellaneous (34x).

You can utilize a concordance for word clarifications
evil=hurt=trouble=affliction=adversity
