Personally, I think it's fairly easy to love one's enemies; while extremely difficult to hate one's kin.
● Luke 14:26 . . If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters-- yes, even his own life --he cannot be my disciple.
The Greek word translated "hate" in that passage is miseo (mis-eh'-o) which basically means to detest; defined by Webster's as loathing.
It's easy to loathe the Devil; but how am I supposed to loathe my kin when they mean so much to me?
