loss at christmas time

Hi i had a great christmas but God has shown me that for many it is not a happy time for various reasons, one incident in particular has been heavy on my heart and i feel i need as many people to pray as possible: 2 boys who used to attend our church youth group aged 14 and 15 have lost their mum to cancer, this happened roughly 4 days ago and the funeral is tomorrow please pray for them and the family particuarly the dad who has been drinking heavily since. May God bless you all and your prayers are much appreciated.

Lord I life up these two boys to your hands and ask that your peace be with them and their family. We cannot sit here and ask you why or question your motives because that would indirectly be blaming you. But let's look at the enemy and remember that he's here to kill and destroy. Let's not let him get away with taking this women out of the world by sickness- let's remember who we are and who he is.

God we know sickness doesn't come from you. We continue to praise you when we are filled with sorrow. We continue to work for you when we are confused. We praise on this day

Dear Heavenly Father,

I surrender this family completely in Your hands. Holy Spirit I ask You right now to comfort these two boys with Your healing fire. Touch them by Your power, and let them stand up for You Lord God.

Lord, have mercy on their dad, show him your grace and mercy Father God. Let him feel Your love. Touch him I pray. For it is by Your grace and mercy that we're saved Father God. So we ask you right now to deliver him from alcohol addiction. Lord you promised us that nothing is impossible with you. So we ask You to change his life completely Father God.

You deal with this situation I pray in Jesus' precious Name.

I just saw this thread and I'm sorry to hear about the two boys and the father's loss. I will keep them in prayer. GOD is in control and hopefully they will receive quick healing.

This is definitely a rough situation, especially for boys so young.
