(27)

What is the meaning of Ananel?

Ananiel, his name meaning the Storm of God, is the Angel of Storms and the fourteenth Watcher of the twenty leaders of the two-hundred fallen angels who are mentioned in an ancient work titled the Book of Enoch.

Ananiel was an ancient spirit or angel that was given dominion over the raging tempests of the Earth by God. When his name was uttered by Samyaza, the gales of the Earth fully manifested in honor of his name. Ananiel would be joined by his fellow Watchers, Baraqiel the Angel of Lightning, Ramiel the Angel of Thunder, and another angel who was not part of the Watchers known as Matariel the Angel of Rain. With Matariel he brought forth rain, followed by Baraqiel's lightning, Ramiel's thunder, and culminating in Ananiel's storm.

Ananiel was said to be a territorial spirit that lorded over the weather space of the planet. He is also believed to be a replacement of Rahab the Angel of the Sea as Ananiel would spend the majority of his time overlooking the ocean and seeing the mortals sail across the coast to other lands. While not fully confirmed if he was intended to be Rahab's replacement, both he and Ananiel do share a connection with one another.

Angel of Storms

Ananiel was also an angelic guard of the gates of the South Wind. The Book of Enoch describes three gates for each direction. The first gate inclines to the south-east and brings a hot wind. The second is due south and brings pleasant fragrances, dew, rain, prosperity and life. The third is south-west and brings dew, rain, locusts and devastation. Ananiel is one of the guardians of these gates and can be interpreted as an Archangel to petition for these.

He would unleash his wrath upon any sailor who would dare traverse the dark waters through raging storms. He lulls the wayward sailors with dark songs, influencing their minds to turn back. His warnings through these songs come in three notes which are also signs: the first is rain, the second is lightning, the third is thunder, and the final ends in a storm. If they do not heed these warnings, he summons the waves to do what his words could not. He wrenched their boats from shore until the land was lost to the horizon. In life, first seafarers had been his acolytes, but in death, they were their own men. The men who perish at sea from Ananiel's song are then given to Rahab as they sink beneath the deep.

Fall from Grace

Ananiel was among the Watchers who fell from grace after procreating with women and creating the dreaded the Nephilim. His Nephilim children had control over the mighty tempests of the world by way of their father and were thus worshipped as gods. After their destruction at the hands of Gabriel, Ananiel was arrested by Michael and thrown into Sheol.

What is the meaning of Samsapeel?

Shamsiel is the 16th Watcher of the 20 leaders of the 200 fallen angels that are mentioned in The Book of Enoch. The angels name means "Sun of God", a fitting title for the angel tasked to teach men the signs of the sun during the days of Jared, sometimes referred to as Yered.
Shamsiel was said to have lead 365 legions of lesser angels in the Zohar and was one of two aids to the Archangel Uriel in battle, the other angel being Hasdiel. Together the trio of angels were nigh unstoppable.

After Adam and Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden, Shamsiel was tasked with guarding the Northern Gate of the sacred Garden from intruders alongside the Cherubim. Shamsiel was a prince of paradise, a guardian of Eden, and ruler of the fourth heaven. Shamsiel was tasked with crowning prayers and passing them onto the fifth heaven. Shamsiel was said to have guided Moses when he visited paradise in the flesh.

When the warm months brought work in the fields, Shamsiel would head the effort. It was easy to spot him out there, his great stature loomed above the other workers, beaming down at them. The time of harvest was always his favorite. He would sing as he swung a huge scythe through the field, flattening the landscape. He swayed and cut throughout the day, working until the sun dimmed over the horizon.

The year the rains left, the fields caught fire. With their loss, something left him. He would stand in the scorched remains, looking out over the darkened expanse. He was like a shadow without a body to cast it.

What is the meaning of Satarel?

What does the name Satoriel mean?
Sathariel (Hebrew: סתריאל, Ancient Greek: Σαθιήλ, romanized: Sathiḗl) is described in the Book of Enoch as the 17th Watcher of the 20 leaders of the 200 fallen angels. Michael Knibb believes the name to mean "Moon of God" or "Dawn of God" based on the Ge'ez copies of the Book of Enoch.

What is the meaning of Turel?

In later translations, he is one of the 20 leaders of 200 fallen angels, mentioned eighteenth. Knibb's work on the Ethiopic Book of Enoch is either "Mountain of God" or "Rock of God".

Turiel, known as The Hero Immemorial and Angel of the Mountain, is a fallen angel and the eighteenth leader of the Grigori known in the ancient apocryphal text called the Book of Enoch.

(31b) Turel a fallen angel

Description

The way Turiel carried his massive stature was a matter of public spectacle. His feats of strength were sometimes put to good use but often bled into showmanship. The praise people showered him with seemed to sustain the angel almost as equally as food or air.

(31c) Turel a fallen angel

Overview

Turiel was one of the angels to show humanity the gifts of magic. With that, he has been treated as a false God of Magic and Mystery similar to the Archangel Raziel. After his fall, Turiel is able to take of a Snow Leopard and to this reigns over the snowy mountains. It is because of this that he caused the indigenous people of Asia as well as the Himalayan, to see the Snow Leopard as a messenger or even an avatar of the deities that reside within the mountains or are the mountains themselves.

Many came to seek the mighty Turiel’s favor. They hailed him from afar at the common grounds and sought to catch a glimpse of him preparing his hunting party. Gifts of food and gold were brought to curry favor. Weapons and jewelry were brought in his honor whenever they could be spared. Those that truly impressed him were made a part of his story, a grand tale where each night, was a feast, each drink was a toast and each lover, a grand affair.
