Our relationships with each other when we go to Heaven is something that the Bible really doesn't go into in any depth. Jesus tells us it will be totally and completely changed from the relationships and bonds formed here on Earth, even our spouses will no longer be our spouse Matthew 22:30. How does that work? I really don't know. So to answer your point, I really fear for my unsaved loved ones, I really wish with all my heart that they would turn to Jesus; they are my focus but that focus is likely to change when I 'go upstairs'.

In Mark 4:38 when it was storming and the disciples did not want to "perish" - do you think they feared 'eternal damnation'? Nope - they feared death. The same greek work in John 3:16 is the same as Mark 4:38.

Dying without hope is to die with an eternal dread. For those who ever think about the reality of death, it would be very reasonable to not want to perish without any hope.

Thanks be to God Who has given us a lively and living Hope in and through His beloved Son, our Saviour, to Whom be glory, honour and praise.... for ever.

Looking deeper into John 3:16

'For God so loved the world,
.. that He gave His only begotten Son,
.... that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
...... but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world;
.. but that the world through Him might be saved.
.... He that believeth on Him is not condemned:
...... but He that believeth not is condemned already,
........ because He hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.'
(John 3:16-17)

Let me first translate John 3:16 to what most christian's of this era think it is saying -

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son,
that whosover believes in him, should not go to eternal damnation,
but gets to go to heaven when they physically die".

May I suggest you ask Abba and patiently wait upon His answer He does reveal things
For man will never b able to think like YH(God)
For it is written ask n you shall receive
Seek and Ye will fine

Many seem to forget there's one door way so go and Knock

It's one of the Most amazing moments when what You ask truly Gets answered from YH n not man
