Living with a thankful heart!

'I will bless the Lord at all times...' Psalm 34:1

David said, 'I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.' A thankful heart isn't always easy to have but it's defo better than being bitter and miserable, in fact it can save your life! When Jonah disobeyed God and ended up inside the whale, he told God, '...I will sacrifice to You with...thanksgiving...' (Jonah 2:9 NKJV). When he did, God made the fish spit him up on dry land.

When you're down in the dumps and life's feeling rubbish, that's when you need to open your trap and praise God. Nothing shows trust like thanking God when life's smacking you round the head. This does two things:

1) It builds your faith. David said, '...magnify the Lord with me...' (Psalms 34:3). Picture a giant magnifying glass pointed at God. When you remember just how big God is, the problem becomes so tiny it's ridiculous! Plus, '...faith comes by hearing...the word of God' (Romans 10:17 NKJV). Hearing God's promises coming from your own lips, causes faith to rise in your heart. So start talking!

2) It restores life. Before raising Lazarus from the dead, Jesus looked up to heaven and said, '"Father...thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me..."' (John 11:41-42 NKJV). As soon as you thank God for stuff you're faith levels rocket, then the grey can turn to colour.

Great Post, if I have trouble of thanking my God because of trouble than I remember what He has already done for me, then I realize again, my God is big enough to do as He pleases and to see me through it.
