While i was doing a online lession this morning the topic was about living water and the passage of scripture that they used was John 4:7-26
The verses that stuck out to me was verses 13-14.
13: Jesus answered and said unto her, whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that i shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
The qustion that comes to mind is are we drinking the living water that the Lord has offered to us, or are we drinking the water that the world has offered us? The water that the Lord as offered, is satisfying, if we drink from that living water we will never thirst again, but if we choose not to drink from the living water then we are always going to want more and not be satisfied. What water are chosing to drink today? For the longest time i was choosing not to drink the living water, i chose to do the things of the world, i chose to to drink the ( sewer water) when i say sewer water i was not being satisfied i was not drinking the living water, I was running in and out of relationships, dipping into things that was not clean and pure, that lead me to wanting more and more of what the world offered. It wasn't until this morning that someting finally clicked and I began to understand this passage of scripture more clearly.
So with that being said, what water will you choose to drink from today? will you choose to drink the living water that will satisfy you, and where you will never thirst again or will you choose to keep drinking the water that keeps you going back for more. I don't know about you but i choose to drink the Living Water that the Lord has offered.
