Life of David

I received lots of good comments and insights into the heart and life of David this week. Here's a sampling: "He repented, was forgiven, and accepted God's love and forgiveness. He paid with some consequences, but was completely soft and repentant of his sins." "God must have known that David feared him, and though David didn't always show it, he always reconsidered his sin, repented and found peace in Him."

"I think David succumbed to the problem of having too much with too little oversight from friends he could trust to tell him the truth." "It makes me wonder if the pornographic pop-up adds on the computer these days are not a modern version of the devil placing the naked lady on the roof." "David is my favorite Bible Character for the very reason that he was flawed yet he sought God. David's life is about his humanness as much as his desire to serve God." "I feel that it is not for me to judge if David can be a man after God's own heart. Of course he didn't act as God has taught but do we always know what God's plan is?"

The overriding theme appears to be as follows: It's not so much what you've done that defines you, but rather what you do with what you've done that determines your true character. Don't let the devil, who's known as 'the accuser of the brethren', trick you into believing the lies about who you are based on what you've done. Instead, listen to the words of Jesus from John 8, "I do not condemn you; go and sin no more." Receive forgiveness of sins and a place among the sanctified. (Acts 26:18) God be with you all...

Good point......I appreciate folks who tell me the truth about myself....and advise me. I thank God that I am not yet above godly council and correction

Some correct out of the pride of their own heart........Following Jesus we know the difference.

Good post....Blessings in Jesus
