Then Jesus shouted, "Lazarus, come out!" John 11:43 NLT

What would you want more than anything after your death?

Throughout the scriptures, the Lord offers the promise of resurrection and eternal life to those who believe in Him. That hope takes the sting out of death, but not the grief.

Before his martyrdom, the apostle Paul admitted: “I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live” (Philippians 1:23-24).

When they think of going to be with the Lord, many wonder, What about all the loved ones I’ll leave behind?

Lazarus had the unique privilege of being reunited with his loved ones and still being with the Lord.

Like his sisters, Lazarus had a deep love for and faith in the Lord Jesus. They looked forward to the resurrection. Still, Lazarus must have hoped and prayed that Jesus would arrive before he died.

Like people in Jesus’ day, you may not understand why the Lord heals some and allows others to die. You or a loved one may face the prospect of an early death.

Like Lazarus, never lose the hope and joy of knowing that after this life “we will be at home with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8).

Prayer: Resolute Lord, thank You so much that I can trust Your promise of life eternal!

The resurrection doesnt occur until after Harmageddon for the majority( other sheep(John 10:16)= great crowd no man can number( Rev 7:9). Only the little flock( Luke 12:32) are part of the first resurrection(Rev 20:6)--These are the bride of Christ--They are numbered-Rev 14:3= 144,000--These have this promise-Rev 1:6, Rev 20: 6-- These will sit on thrones helping judge. Even the fallen angels will be judged by them as well. Only the little flock is promised heaven.

Dear Keithw
If that is what you took from this Devotional, may I suggest you read it again.
For clearly you did not understand what it is trying to communicate to the reader.

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

I know you are told all go to heaven and its not what Jesus taught or the bible--Jesus taught this-Matthew 5:5--Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth--this is the great crowd of other sheep. Even the psalmist knew that truth-Psalm 37:9-11,29--Prov 2:21-22, Matt 24:22 assures they remain on earth and are brought through the tribulation and armageddon.

Dear Keithw,
Again, you are reading what you want to into this devotional.
Please move on and create your own thread to discuss a subject that is clearly on your mind but is not part of this devotional.

Dear Keithw,
The problem here is that you are seeking an argument where none is warranted or wanted.
The devotional has nothing to do with what you have extrapolated it to mean by your comments.
Take my suggestion and create your own thread to have the discussion you clearly want to have.
You continue in this vein, and I'll be forced to change my hat from member to Moderator.
I can tell you in honesty you won't like it when I do. Take this as a friendly warning.

I dont look for arguments, i am just a mere seed planter looking for good hearts that love Gods truth. It is God who waters the seeds.

Dear Keithw,
You won't be finding the arguments if you keep to the subject at hand. God's truth is communicated in many different ways, and devotionals can be one of them.
To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, let's see if you can answer this question.

What was this devotional about, and God's truth found therein?

With the Love of Christ Jesus.
