Being part of Christian internet, if that is even a proper term, for about 25 years, watching reading the liberalization of Scripture has become a touchy point. In some what the same way the US Constitution has been diluted.

There are examples throughout this forum and others. The thread on divorce shows how we humans, talk and talk using many words to cloud and justify our less then Godly desires. How we wish to be right in our standing with God while doing what we want or we think is ok.
I accept many passages are by design ambiguous and will be argued and discussed, as before our time until our Lord returns. Not all are written so.
Seems to me as we grow in His Word , in Him the acceptance of 'gray boundries' in our selves should become clearer as we walk the path.

Divorce is not the only subject on my mind. The churches are accepting of many 'sex' sins excusing them because most of us are guilty in one way or another, would be my guess. There is a fine line between being open and welcoming and approval. It is not sin that is cast to hell it is unrepentant sinners. We dont tell the diabetic eat all the junk you want God loves you.

Speaking as an American , we have given our God given responsibilities over to the government (thinking here of the widows and fatherless) we send our children to the state to be taught, look at our streets. We find excuses in isolated Scriptures for men fleesing the sheep and therefore do not hold them accountable.
With my own guilt off my soap box

Since you've stepped off the soap box for a moment.. :)

I agree with all you say here. The battle now is for the children, the next generation. If I had any children that were still in school, I would take them out and either home school
or put them in a reputable Christian school (even these are getting harder to find). The education system here is the most evil thing imaginable.
Teach our children that their parents are not the authority in their lives, that there is no God, and then anything goes. No absolute truths, only relative truths.
Homosexuality, transgenderism, pedophilia, is openly being taught in even elementary schools. Atheism, Islam, and even Hinduism is allowed, but not Christianity.

Practically every television show, movie, song on the radio, and even some computer games promote these things.
They say they want peace and tolerance, but they allow violent television shows, movies and computer games. They want tolerance for sexual sin,
and even propose legalizing child porn and pedophilia. Abortion is killing over 800,000 babies a year in the US alone.

... and the church is silent. When have you ever heard any well known pastor (MacArthur, Olsteen, Hagee, Chan, Franklin Graham, Stanley... etc...) say anything about
the education our children are receiving.

OK... soapbox is empty now... next. :)

This is why the Earth will burn and everything and almost everyone will burn to ashes.
Pity I do like the Taj Mahal ...
now is the time for preaching the full gospel of salvation
but here in the decadent West they are not flocking in to the body of Christ, but overseas in the Third World and in Islamic and communist nations Christian revivals is happening big time.
Christians are being martyred and oppressed and gaoled but it does not stop the growth of the gospel.
In the West they want OSAS and every other dumbed down doctrine that makes a Christian life easy peasy.
There will be a separating of the chaff from the wheat.

As for the Christian West that received the gospel and blessings of God here is a dire warning to our nations:
Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith to them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made head of the corner; This was from the Lord, And it is marvellous in our eyes?
21:43 Therefore I say unto you [that], The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth its fruits.
21:44 And who falleth on this stone shall be broken to pieces: but on whomever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.

Sister, I hear you. There's the grey, but then there is the GREAT BIG AND GLORIOUS BLACK AND WHITE WORD OF GOD.

If we say we are disciples of Jesus, then we will walk as Jesus walked and obey all that HE taught. Some (the unsaved) say: "You Christians have it so easy.", except they deceive themselves, because we know that walking as Jesus walked, and following HIS commands, is the most difficult life one can live. Yet we who love Jesus know the difficulty of the narrow way through the strait gate, and yet we continue to follow HIM in repentance and in faith because we know HIS way is true.

There is not one believer in the Lord Jesus Christ that has or will save another; that is the exclusive prerogative of God through the power of the Holy Spirit. We saints have a solemn duty, that is: follow Jesus and all HE commands of us - be light and salt to a lost and dying world, proclaim the GOOD NEWS and let those that have ears hear and those that have eyes see the power and love of God almighty work in and through us and our lives.

With all love, peace, and blessings in our lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

John 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
14:16 And I will petition the Father, and He will give you another Comforter, that He may remain with you to the age,
14:17 the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because it does not see Him nor know Him. But you know Him, for He abides with you and shall be in you.

There really really ought to be a big difference between the elect called out of the world and those who choose to remain in the world.
We are not of this world. (well some of us)

Like i told my wife years ago, early 1990's, the church we attended finally was able to purchased a bigger church building, And for all these past years the Church grew from the aid of a low income area. Poor children, poor families attended it, giving there hard low income tithe's and offerings. The Church was able to buy another church in the suburbs, Large Church building with a school from Kindergarten to 12. Now, it had to have "christian teachers", which they demanded high salaries. beginning Kindergarten tuition a year $10,000 per kid.. I told my wife they was out of their minds. Her reply was our kids have to have a christian education. I was upset, I said what about those kids who help this church grow into the the church it is today, and the poor parents who gave their hard earn money, retirement, welfare, retirement, McDonalds, Popeyes, White Castle, Burger Kings, Labors, income so that this Church can honor GOD and The LORD Jesus Christ. I told her we are not paying no $20,000 a year to a church, to make sure our kids have a "christian education". Our kids just have to go to the regular school with the other kids. "Only the well to do, kids can get a "Christian education"? I told her something is not right! She found a Christian school only charge S6,000 per kid a year for our kids to go to, For about 3 years, Oh she finally saw the light, at this "Christian" school! "Prejudice" against our little "Black Kids" LOL, And She was HOT! "Breathing Fire", Took them out and put them in a "public School systems in our community, That consists, of white, Black, Jewish, Chaldeans, Arabs, Asians, Europeans, Africans, East Indians [India].

A new Generation of KIDs, who grew up together, When school was out for what ever reason during the school year, at my house it look like a "Star Trek" convention, for days, My son friends would spend the night, 2-5 nights at a time. Our nick name for him at our house was "Brian International", They would raid refrigerator, anytime they wanted. our basement is just like a house by itself full bath, Kitchen, entertaiment center, weight room, library. Jacuzzi. And it has a walkout basement. Those kids where better acting than the kids at the church my wife and kids went too! I tried to tell them. Mmmm it is time to stop in the middle of this story. Concerning, training our children in a way they should go, that has been design by GOD.

PS. God has never told us to train up our kids to be good little christians.:eyes: You may assume it to be, with all your heart and mind. He did not tell you to train them to be good little christians. Man did.

We know what God told "us" to do concerning our Children For those who had the chance to do so.. May Mercy and Grace continue to flow to such a way in our lives.
