as I started to read the famous book series Left Behind by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim Lahaye, I got to the part where the flight attendant notices all the babies where taken, I asked my aunt where the Bible states the "age of accountability". she said lets look
we looked in the Bible, didnt find it, googled it, and that lead to it saying there isn't really any verse that confirms it nor denies it.
is there a "age of accountability"?
also please no comments on pre, mid, or post trib theories, and if there are any other questions like this please ask just try to answer the current questions

That has always been a difficult subject for most people. All we really know is that if we were God and had God's power and love, that we would care about these little ones. Our faith like that of Abraham's tells us that, however God handles it, he will do right. Genesis 18:25; Matthew 18:10

Deuteronomy 32:4 "He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he."

As to there being an age of accountability, it certainly seems reasonably so that there is such a thing which varies by person. Luke 12:48

I know that some have tried to explain that by the accountability of the parents. They say the child's salvation is tied up with the salvation of the parents and they base their idea on scriptures as, 1 Corinthians 7:14.

Yet, when we stop and think about it, our salvation could have been left tied up with our first human parents but God's love would not have it so. Thus God furnished the first Adam's children with an adoptive father to take the first Adam's place. 1 Corinthians 15:45

It seems that most do not understand that the Bible uses the word, 'spirit', some seven different ways. Many do not understand that the reason we need a quickening spirit is because when Adam sinned he could no longer inculcate his offspring with a healthy spirit. So God planned to provide us a father who bore his righteous wisdom with which to inculcate his righteous spirit into all who would love him and the entire course of what is right. Hebrews 1:9

That the iniquity we do is due to that lack of a healthy spirit being taught or inculcated into us is shown in many places in scripture. Psalms 14:4; Deuteronomy 4:10; Deuteronomy 31:12-13

We learn iniquity from others: Psalms 106:34-35; Proverbs 22:24-25

Similarly, we learn to do righteousness: Psalms 119:7; Proverbs 1:5; Proverbs 9:9

We have to be educated to become aware of what we are doing before we know to give it attention and let the defect in our spirit be corrected: Psalms 32:5; Romans 7:7; Psalms 38:18

If we love iniquity then we won't let it go and God will then let us go: Psalms 66:18; Isaiah 26:10

But at exactly what age God determines our love or hate for iniquity we do not know. It no doubt varies by individual. But we are under commandment to: Romans 12:9

That was a quick rundown and I cannot tell you more as you have said not to comment on pre, mid, or post trib theories.

The age of accountability is 8 days old. This is based on the age by which a baby had to be circumcised so they could be under God's covenant (Gen 17:12). But it is the parents who are accountable not the infant.

For babies that die before 8 days old, including abortions - in the resurrection God is going to raise up the dead bodies of all the little babies (still born and died after birth) and embryos (aborted), and they will grow up into normal adult human beings. They will be saved because by that time, there will be no more sin or death, and so naturally they will believe in Jesus. The teaching of the resurrection is clear in Scripture.

For babies that die after 8 days old, those that have been baptized in water will go to a nice place and will be raised by their guardian angel until they are fully grown. Every little one has a guardian angel in Heaven (Matt 18:10). Those that are not baptized will go to a place that is not so nice, but they will be saved through suffering and be saved at the end. This view is based upon early Christian thought.

Even though every person is sinful from the time they are born (Psalm 51:5), God is merciful and does not blame a baby for sins they have not yet committed or their inability to decide for themselves.
They are given the appropriate opportunity to be saved or be saved by default, as rational and fully grown human adults, either in their soul-state in Hades, or after the resurrection in their resurrected flesh state. This view is based on common sense.

These verses seem to say there is age where we know right from wrong.

Isaiah 7:15; He will eat curds and honey at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good.
Isaiah 7:16; For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken.

The verse below is controversial, but some take it to mean children of Christians are at least protected until the age of accountability.

1 Corinthians 7:14; For the unbelieving husband is sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified through her believing husband; for otherwise your children are unclean, but now they are holy.

Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."

It is our lack of knowledge which finds ways within us to excuse things and often the things we excuse result in sin.

You know your self, that, 1 John 3:4 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

There is then but one way we enter into sin: We do not abide by God's law.

There are three reasons we do not abide by God's law: (1) We were born to ignorance of it and no one ever taught us about it. (2) We were so busy thinking we knew more than we do and not recognizing the ignorance in us that we did not take time to learn God's law once we were old enough to do so. (3) We tasted of the knowledge of God's law but decided that we love the ways we learned in ignorance more than God's law.

The 8 day old requirement for circumcision under the law merely pictures that we must let the power of God's word in us work through us to begin circumcising the hearts of our young ones very quickly after birth. We do that by first having that life-giving word in us and then using that word to teach our young ones. John 7:38; Ephesians 5:26; John 6:63; John 6:68

We have to remember that all things under that Old Law were lain out with pictures or shadows of something greater under the New Covenant.

If we do not understand those pictures we will be stuck with our own personal beliefs of how things work under the New Covenant.

At 8 days the child was cleansed by water just prior to his circumcision. The water thus symbolized being prepared to be circumcised of heart by the water of God's word, in which once we are bathed the spirit on that word begins the process of circumcising our heart.

The 8th day therefore has nothing to do with the literal age of accountability.
