AS THEY WERE EATING, JESUS TOOK BREAD, AND BLESSED IT, AND BREAK IT, AND GAVE IT TO HIS DISCIPLES, AND SAID, "TAKE, EAT; THIS IS MY BODY." AND HE TOOK THE CUP, AND GAVE THANKS, AND GAVE IT TO THEM, SAYING, "DRINK YE ALL OF IT; FOR THIS IS MY BLOOD OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, WHICH IS SHED FOR MANY FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS."( MATTHEW 26:26-28 *KJV )
Dear Believers,
When ever we recall "The Last Supper" that Jesus sharedwith His Disciples, let us be mindful of the meaning of MY BLOOD OF THE NEW TESTAMENT. The people of the old Covenant [those we lived before Christ, could approach God only through a Priest and an animal sacrifice. Now we may come directly to God throughour faith, because the death of Jesus' , and His gloriousResurrection has made us acceptable in God's sight! For it is written: FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD, BEING JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS. ( ROMANS 3:23-24 *NKJV )
So Believers, the next time you take communion meaning[Commune with God], or share the Eucharist [Thanksgiving], why not quietly reflect on the events that took place during His Crucifixion, and Christ's promise to return again. For that Return will be a truly joyful day for all of God's Children! Amen.
