Just A Touch (Luke 8:43-48)

Their was this woman that walked the streets for twelve years
Before walking in a public place she would cry out unclean
Meaning stay away I am sick

For twelve years this woman lived with hemorrhaging bleeding
She lived with this condition for twelve years no doctor to help
She sat in one chair for those twelve years

Depression couldn't even begin what she was feeling inside
No word could, but still she refused to give up and end it all
Her faith remained strong even though her body was weak

That faith that one day some one would come along and heal her
That hope for twelve years kept her going and praising the Lord
Then one day she heard that Jesus was coming

This woman's faith was so strong that she believed if she could touch
Just touch the robe of Jesus she would be healed of twelve years
This twelve years of suffering and calling out unclean, unclean

Crawling into the crowd that surrounded Jesus to be unseen not wanting
Oh so not wanting to be turned back now being so close to being whole
Just able to reach out a finger and touch the robe of Jesus from behind

That moment of touch Jesus felt a surge of power turned around asked
Who touched me, the woman cried out I did and knelt before Jesus
Taking her hand saying your faith and courage has healed you

This poem is so much more then words alone and a bible story
In between the words the lines, we see the message loud an clear
If only put our faith and trust in Jesus, just a touch of his robe will heal

Just a touch with our hands our praises His power will surge through us
No matter what in health or depression if we believe without being double
Minded just a touch we will be healed, we will be whole again

Faith, we need faith,

She had faith, she didnt give up. She didnt dwell in her state.
She said enough is enough, I will not carry this burden any longer.
Her faith took her to Jesus.

She crawled to Jesus, a broken spirit
Some of us are broken , feeling sorry for ourselves.
Its time we have faith, and turn to Jesus

It doesnt matter how low you are in life,
Make the effort and crawl to him.
Just the hem of his garment and she was healed.

Move forward and experience change, by calling on Jesus name.

This was a great poem, thank you for sharing

thanks rizen, i didnt mean to go over some of ur concept, the poem just came to me, felt like God was telling me to write it this way. also been talking to some one about depresson, and that story came to mind. and so wrote what it must have been like for the woman in the story, must have had deressing feelings too after all was human

Your poem was great, I love it.
