I always thought that Joseph was a carpenter and this fitted my thinking wonderfully. Jesus at creation with God creating wood, trees and such. Then at the lathe with Joseph making practical and beautiful things with wood, then hanging on wood, crucified for us! Now someone has mentioned that Joseph was a builder (taken from the greek seemingly which I don't know) and not a carpenter? I wonder if anyone knows the Jewish 'root' of Josephs 'trade'. Thanks.
