Job 14:3-5 King James Version (KJV)
3 And doth thou open thine eyes upon such an one, and bringest me into judgment with thee?
4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one.
5 Seeing his days are determined, the number of his months are with thee, thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass;

3 Do you really take notice of one like this?
Will you bring me into judgment against you?
4 Who can produce something pure from what is impure?
No one!
5 Since a person’s days are determined
and the number of his months depends on you,
and since you have set limits he cannot pass,

3 God is to be our judge but thru Christ we are redeemed from sin. We all deserve judgment but as Christians we have Christ and have mercy and grace. Job had some pride because he lived better then others and because he had a relationship with God, he thought he was good enough but only by faith and His love are we saved.

4 We are sinful and unclean but only thru Jesus and the Spirit living in us can we be saved and good. The only thing good in us as believers is the Holy Spirit and by Him we can do good and be good, without the Spirit and without Jesus we don’t have a good standing before the Father and cant be good.

5 God has already determined our life and already has both a will for us and knows what we will actually do. Some things we cant change because they are God’s will but many things we can fight but we should submit to His will.
