8 Andthe Lord said unto Satan, Hastthou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, aperfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
New European Version
6Now it happened on the day when the sons of God came to present themselvesbefore Yahweh, that Satan also came among them. 7Yahweh said to Satan, Wherehave you come from? Then Satan answered Yahweh and said, From going back andforth in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. 8Yahweh said to Satan,Have you considered my servant, Job? For there is none like him in the land, ablameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil.

6 This refers to the angels, this shows that they did notmeet with God everyday but had a set time, this might just be for the fallenangels to meet with Him. Satan was and is the leader of the fallen angels andthe father of evil.

7 The Lord knew what He had been doing and knew that Satanwould have most likely lied about it as well. God can handle having a conversionwith Satan we should not but should talk with God. Satan responds to God, thisshows God has authority over Satan because he responds to Him. This is whatSatan did and he caused trouble in doing it.

8 Job is referred by God as His servant, we who follow Himare His servants, and God notices us even if others don’t. Jesus is alone goodbut because Job had faith and followed God, he was made good by his and thefact that Jesus would later die for his and our sins. We should always worshipGod and avoid evil; if our eyes are on God then we will not turn to evil, butevil is always just a step in the wrong direction.
