[2 Timothy 2:15 KJV] "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." ******** To rightly divide the Word of God is to distinguish between what is directed to someone else at a different time from what is directed to us today.

[Luke 4:17 KJV] "And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,"
[Luke 4:18 KJV] "The Spirit of the Lord [is] upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,"
[Luke 4:19 KJV] "To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."
[Luke 4:20 KJV] "And he closed the book, and he gave [it] again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him."
[Luke 4:21 KJV] "And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears." ********* When Jesus came to this verse ******** [Isaiah 61:2 KJV] "To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;" ********* he closed the book before reading "and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;" ********* Jesus was rightly dividing by not applying the day of vengeance to himself at that time.

It is incumbent upon us to acknowledge what was given to Israel, and what is given to us. We need to rightly divide our gospel, our apostle, our church, our baptism, our inheritance, and our commission
