Hi Neil! A science teacher huh? hehe you have picked up a few bad habits then haven't you?? lol I remember a science teacher in my school,he was very good! But sometimes great knowledge in one subject can hurt you in another. For you refer back to what you have been taught by man rather then learning something new from a teacher who may cause you to have questions in your expert subject to change. Another words this famous saying i heard when I became a believer."When the supernatural comes into contact with the natural sometimes got to give!" It is here in the middle of this I see you at bro.
When one becomes so low in life,it really is not to difficult to believe God loves you. but questions come with this acceptence.WHY? HOW? For me to get to know you, and how you think,I would have to spend a great deal of time with you,i would ask you questions,some i may believe i know the answer to,but still would ask to hear from a different prespective. Why and How you arrived at a particular answer. Then decide on whether to challange you on that or not? What we do to man and woman everyday bro lol. Sometimes from what we hear we believe we should stay clear of them,others we may wish to know them further,it all depends on the time we wish to spend with them.
Feeling and emotion do play a role for our flesh,but not in our faith,this science has a difficult time with. For sometimes evidence is believed but not seen.Such as believing God loves us. We place our faith in God's Word,but in our own knowledge have no proof of it. Jesus works far different then man bro.( hebrews 11:6) We find out just how many walls we have build to protect ourselves! We sometimes can fear disappointment( rom 10:9-11!!) verse 10 for with the heart a person believes!! Not with the head,as taught by man. To love Jesus for me bro I had to be willing to spend a lot more time in both his Word and prayer,not being a trusting soul myself! This required me to tear down some major strongholds in my mind!( 2 cor 10:4-7)
As i became more and more willing to do these things bro,Jesus made himself more and more clear to both my mind and spirit! It did not happen overnight bro.For it takes strong discipline, the same discipline you use everyday in your classroom, to be prepared for your students, so that they can learn how to prepare themselves thereby helping others to do the very same. Feeling and emotion are not part of the faith realm, sure it is nice to have them at times but we cannot look to them to verify our faith.( 2 cor 4:16-18) verse 18 brother Neil!!! While we look not at the things which are seen! But at the things which are not seen,for the things which are seen are temporal,( such as any feeling or emotion we may have,for we have these things for as long as we ourselves wish to!) BUT!!! the very things which are not seen are what brother?? amen eternal!
The ways of God, we learn through him.( 1 john 2:27) We must be taught ,even as you teach,but we must be willing to stay a student to! ( psalms 103:7) He showed Moses his ways because the Lord knew Moses was willing to stay his student! Does he know you will? Only you my good brother can answer such a question! I had to find this out myself bro! So this is just something for you to consider! I do not tell you what you must do!! i only suggest what God has taught me and this has worked very well for me bro!
