Jesus is Alive!

The cross holds great worth for you. The Romans intended it to bring death, but God used it to bring salvation and eternal life. The crowds gathered and witnessed the ultimate sacrifice for you and countless others who have called on the Name above all names. Jesus gave His life so you could have life eternally.

One Jesus was placed inside the grave, a massive stone was rolled in front of the opening and guards were ordered to keep watch. The enemy employees a similar tactic in your daily life. He will throw one obstacle after another in your path to try to keep you distracted and feeling trapped. He wants all your attention on the problems so you might forget that the grave wasn’t the end for Jesus.

Jesus is alive! And because He lives, the power of sin and death is broken. Because He lives, you can have unbroken fellowship with the God who loved you enough to send His only Son to earth. Because He lives, you get to live forever with Him in heaven.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for showing me that the sadness of the grave didn’t last long. You died, but You rose again! Thank You for always being with me and for reminding me of the love You demonstrated for me when You conquered sin and death by fulfilling Your promise to rise from the dead.
