Jesus is ‘The LORD or Our LORD.’ What did the Israelite mean?

Jesus is ‘The LORD or Our LORD.’ What did the Israelite mean?

An aid to Gentiles,
in order to assist in their understanding,
of what the Apostles are saying about Jesus.

Isa.43… pre-incarnation.
[15] I (Jesus) am the LORD.
I am your Holy One.
I am the creator (maker) of Israel.
I am your King (like Nathanael said John.1:49).

Luke about the birth of Jesus who came from heaven.

Luke.2
[10] … the angel said to the Israelites,
Do not fear.
Behold, I bring you Good News of great happiness,
that shall be to all people (Israelites and Gentiles)
[11] For to you (Israelites)
is born this day,
in the city of David,
a Savior,
who is Christ (the Father’s anointed),
the LORD (from heaven. Deut 6:4, the God of Israel)

Isa.9
[6] For to us (Israelites) a child is born.
To us a son (of GOD) is given
and the government (of David’s Spiritual Kingdom),
shall be upon his shoulder
and his name shall be called:
Wonderful,
Counselor,
The Mighty God, (the God of Israel)
The everlasting (spiritual) Father,
The Prince of Peace (from the GOD of peace)

Isa.35. God was predicted to come to Israel.
[3] Strengthen the weak hands,
and confirm the feeble knees.
[4] Say to the Israelites,
who are of a fearful heart, (of their oppressive rulers),
Be strong.
Do not fear (or be concerned).
Behold, your God (Jesus, the Mighty God),
will come with vengeance, (circa 26- 30 A.D.)
even God with a recompense.
He (Deut. 6:4) will come
and save you (the children of the Prophets).

John the Baptist, goes ahead,
of the incarnated God of Israel.

Luke.1
[15] John shall be great,
in the sight of the Lord (the Father),
and he shall not drink wine nor strong drink,
and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit,
even from his mother's womb,
[16] and he shall turn many of the children of Israel,
to (Jesus) the Lord their God. (Deut. 6:4)
[17] and he (John),
shall go before him (Jesus, the God of Israel),
in the Spirit and power of Elias,
to turn the hearts of the fathers (the Prophets),
to the children, (of the Prophets = the Apostles and others)
and (to turn) the disobedient (Israelites),
to the (secret) Wisdom (=obedience),
of the just (the righteous Israelite);
to make a people ready (and)
prepared for the LORD (Jesus, the God of Israel)

Amos.4
[11] I (Jesus) have overthrown some of you,
like GOD overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah,
and you were like a firebrand plucked out of the burning.
Yet you have not returned (Acts 2:38), to me,
saith the LORD (the Son, the Mighty God).
[12] Therefore thus (? secret)
I will do to you, O Israel
and because I will do this to you,
prepare (Lk.1:17),
to meet (me Jesus) your God, O Israel.

The Israelites preach that Jesus is Deut.6:4.
the ONE God of Israel
BUT he has a secret, P22.25:14.

Israelite witness #1
John.1
[49] Nathanael answered and saith to Jesus,
Rabbi, you are the Son of GOD (Isa. 9:6; the Mighty God of Israel)
You are the King (and God) of Israel. (Isa.43:15)

Israelite witness #2
John.20
[28] Thomas answered and said to Jesus:
My (Israelite) Lord
and my (Israelite) God. (Deut.6:4)

Israelite witness #3
Acts.2
[36] Therefore,
let the entire house (the 12 tribes), of Israel,
know assuredly,
that GOD has made that same Jesus,
whom you have crucified, (circa 30 A.D.)
both (2 things),
Lord (the God of Israel)
and (now GOD has sent him as) Christ.

Moses taught the Shema to the Israelites.
Deut.6
[4] Hear, O (nation of) Israel, (not the Gentiles nor the future Church),
The LORD our (exclusive Israelite) God (= Jesus)
is one (single) LORD.. (BUT he has a secret; Pss.25:14)

The Jews killed the God of the Shema.
Acts.7
[51] You (Jews are),
stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears,
you always resist the Holy Spirit.
Like your (Prophet killing) fathers did,
so do you.
[52] Which one of the Prophets (like Isaiah),
haven’t your fathers persecuted?
Your fathers killed the Prophets, (who are called Zion)
who predicted about,
the coming (the incarnation),
of the Just One (Jesus, the God of Israel)
of whom you (Israelites), have now been,
the betrayers and the murderers. (deicide)

1Cor.2
[7] But we (Apostles),
speak the wisdom of GOD,
in a mystery (a puzzle)
even the concealed wisdom (plan),
that GOD had ordained,
before the world (of Israel),
to our (the Apostles’) glory (importance)
[8] which (wisdom),
none of the princes (the Priests, the Elders…).
of this (evil Jewish) world knew
for had they, (the Priests, Elders…), known (about) it,
then they would not have crucified, (killed)
the LORD of/ from glory (the incarnated God of Israel)

Jesus lives after a public execution.
Luke.24
[24] And certain of them,
who were with us,
went to the sepulchre,
and found it even so like the women had said
but they did not see him.
[25] Then Jesus said unto them,:
O fools, and slow of heart to believe,
everything,
that the Prophets (like Isaiah) have spoken (written):
[26] Ought not Christ, (predicted)
to have suffered these things,
and to enter into his glory (in heaven)?
[27] And beginning at Moses and all of the Prophets,
in all the scriptures,
he expounded unto them,
the things concerning himself (as Christ)

The Jews had persecuted and killed
all of their Prophets,
who were good (righteous) men.

1Thes.2
[14] You (correctly baptized, anointed), brethren,
became followers of the churches of God (Jesus)
who located in Judaea,
are in Christ Jesus (the God of Israel)
for you have also suffered similar persecutions,
from your own countrymen,
even like they, (the Jerusalem Christians),
have suffered from the (un-called) Jews.
+
[15] The Jews killed the LORD Jesus, (the God of Israel)
and also killed their own Prophets, (like Isaiah)
and they have persecuted us (the anointed Apostles)
and they do not please GOD (the Most High)
and they are contrary to all men
[16] forbidding us (the Apostles)
from speaking to (exhorting), the Gentiles,
so that the Gentiles might be saved (and not destroyed)
to fill up (max.) their sins always
for the wrath (great fury from GOD),
has come upon the Jews of Jerusalem,
to the uttermost. (70 A.D.)

GOD took vengeance in 70 A.D.
and brought an end,
transgression of Israel
while living in his land (of Judaea)

Rev.18
[20] Rejoice over her, (Jerusalem)
you heaven,
and you Holy Apostles (N.T.) and Prophets (O.T.)
for GOD has avenged you (good men) on her.
[21] Then a mighty angel took up a stone,
like a great millstone,
and he cast it into the sea (to sink) saying:
Thus, with violence, (war with the Romans)
that great city Babylon (= Jerusalem),
shall be thrown down (by the Romans in 70 A.D.)
and shall not be found any more at all.

Hello wordsponge.

Well wordsponge, if you could be so kind as to reveal the source of your doctrines.
For you are certainly quoting from some text as the example below illustrates.
BUT he has a secret, P22.25:14.
When citing a reference it is good manners to name the title, author and publisher.
Without the reference I am unable to review the text you are quoting from wordsponge.

Hello wordsponge.

Well your reply certainly cleared that misunderstanding, may I request that you
avoid using a single letter in referring to the books of the Bible in future.

Shall we move on to a more interesting topic regarding Jesus the Christ. Here is
an insightful verse from the book of Isaiah.

Isaiah 44 (NASB)
6 Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:
I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me.

We have in Isaiah a declaration by God Himself of a phrase that God uses to identify
Himself. God has declared that He is the 'first and I am the last' and there is
'no God besides Me'. For there is only one God wordsponge.

Now read the following extract from the book of Revelations. In which there is a revelation
of the One referred to as the 'first and the last'. Remember that the One identified by the
'first and I am the last' is the same and only God mentioned in Isaiah 44.

Revelations 1
12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking with me. And having turned
I saw seven golden lampstands; 13 and in the middle of the lampstands I saw one
like a Son of man, clothed in a robe reaching to the feet, and girded across His chest
with a golden sash. 14 His head and His hair were white like white wool, like snow;
and His eyes were like a flame of fire. 15 His feet were like burnished bronze, when it has
been made to glow in a furnace, and His voice was like the sound of many waters.
16 In His right hand He held seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword;
and His face was like the sun shining in its strength. 17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like
a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first
and the last".

The description of the 'Son of man' above includes this unique identification (verse 17),
which says, 'Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last'. The Son of man is the 'first and the last',
and is the only God according to Isaiah 44.

So we know that there is no God besides the God specified in Isaiah 44, thus there can be only
one God. This one God is the 'first and the last', the redeemer, the King of Israel, the Lord
of hosts.

Deuteronomy 6:4
“Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one.

In simple terms wordsponge, the revelation of the scripture is all about Jesus Christ and
not about the revelation of God the Father. The Father of Jesus Christ is virtually invisible
in the scripture though His name is mentioned often. We only have the revelation of His Son
and we worship the Father through the worship of His Son. All visions of God in the Old
Testament bar one or two are of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Father rarely is audible in the
Biblical text and rightly so, for this earthly kingdom we exist within, belongs to the Son.
The Son has the name above every name and will be worshipped as the Father is worshipped.
For they are one and the same God, eternal and equal, and they both occupy the great throne
in Heaven.

Who is the Holy Spirit, wordsponge?

You said:

ONE and the same = BOTH to you...

Your logic could kill a cow...:)

Please do not hurt yourself...
