Yes, could be. They get born-again while a member of the Roman Catholic church, then it takes a while (for whatever reason) for them to leave it. God's ways are mysterious and His timetables are not ours. I just thank and praise God for His mighty works in freeing so many Catholics from the spiritual death they were once in, and giving them life and peace and salvation in Christ Jesus !!
In his profile, UCS1923 claims he was born again in 1980. I have to wonder what he means by "born again"? One can't be on fire for Christ and on fire for a {denomination }at the same time.

I have had many talks with Jesus about this very thing, but what we talked about we can leave out. One only needs to read the Bible to work out what is what. However I will share what Jesus showed me. My blood brother is a catholic priest and told me that Jesus made Peter the first pope due to Matthew 16:13-20 mostly by this section “ And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." This is what Jesus said to me. “Raymond, we stood around talking as one does, I asked who people say I am, some had no conviction and mumbled ‘John the Baptist and another Elijah others called me names of other prophets. It was Peter who spoke from the heart and with conviction, the conviction that comes from the Father. The rock or foundation is hearing in Spirit, Spiritual ways regarding Spiritual things. Those that learn to speak from the heart, in pure faith, that is to trust in and have conviction in that which can’t be proven, has learnt faith. Peter spoke in faith, Peter heard in Spirit and spoke what he heard, that is the foundation I will build upon. Any person of flesh that turns to me to be healed will come to a Spiritual place as Peter did and will know, because the Father will reveal the truth to those that seek, ask and knock. The Spiritual understand because it is not by their hand, but comes from the Father. One wisdom one truth, the flesh understand many wisdoms and many truths, but according to them. Hell cannot prevail against the Spiritual wisdom that comes from the Father, so why live in fear?
