"The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples" Genesis 49:10
I opened up my bible this morning and i felt the Lord directed me to this passage. As I was reading, I came across this particular verse, and something caught my eye that i had never seen or heard before. Here, as Israel (Jacob) is telling each son what will become of them and their descendants, Israel prophecies that Judah will reign until the coming of 'Shiloh",
I thought about it for second and realized that this must be a reference to Christ. Because Judah did reign until the coming of Christ, and then shortly after Christs ascension Judah reigned no more.
What a powerful piece of scripture this is. And I wonder that this could be a great evangelism tool to use for jews.
