I see so many that deny the finality of salvation through Grace. Ephesians 2:8
Oh they acknowledge grace now but, they must mix law with it to satisfy their teachings about works as a prerequisite to and a maintenance of their salvation. I say their teachings because it has come by way of other men and not the Holy Spirit / God's word.
I am not saying that I undertand it all, like the hows but, I have no doubt about why.
Only a perfect God could devise a perfect plan to defeat the enemy and secure our place in his family and, that is a process that is all of him and none of us, except our belief. In the end we still have a choice. That is the difference, that he sactifies us and sets us apart from all those who refuse to believe.
I see it time and time again. I am a "by grace alone" salvationist and, all I hear is that our salvation is also measured by how well we observe the law, like the 10 commandments. They say you must stand firm, not falter or "fall away" and resist until the end or the return of Jesus.
I find this, like Paul talks about in Romans 7, I too struggle with doing whats right and perfect all the time. I want do to everything as perfect as God would wish me to do but I fail. So, also says Paul and he reminds us of God's ultimate grace and follows up with as God requested him to tell us in Romans 8:1. Therefore also, it is not as much as us being steadfast to the end, it is all about grace and Jesus not allowing us to fail and his steadfastness to the end!
I have some prayerful advise for many of my legal brothers, stand fast to the soverign authority of God's grace. Also, to understand that unless we are fortunate enough to be changed in the "blink of an eye", we are more likely to meet Jesus the moment our bodies begin their return to dust and we spiritually go back from where we came from.

- John 6:37, God gives us to Jesus, it is God's will that Jesus take us and Jesus obeys God's will perfectly and will not cast us out...how do you fall away from that?
- 1 Corinthians 1:8, it is not you my friend but Jesus that stands firm to the end and holds you guiltless.
- John 5:24, has crossed over, not will cross over in the end.
- 2 Timothy 2: 13 , above all else, when ever we falter, slide or have problems, it is he who remains faithful in the end. It is not that we remain perfectly in God's will to the end but, that Jesus can and does. We can have less faith but it is his faith that pulls us past the veil.
