Is this true?

Yes, the blood of Christ is sufficient to take care of Every sin. But the person needs to acknowledge their personal need For the shed blood of Christ. And Nothing else is needed to complete a person's salvation.

By putting that blood on the doorposts of their homes -- they showed their trust In the shed blood being put there would be enough to stop the angel of death from stopping at their house. It was an outward sign of what they believed in their heart.

It's not the 'hope it works' -- it's the Trust in the future. Now days It's common to hear 'sure hope this works --it if doesn't I'm in trouble'. A person Doesn't usually hear -- My hope / Trust / is in the shed blood of Christ being all that's needed for my salvation.

Hi Sue, Proverbs 9:10. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. To tell a Christian what they need to acknowledge, is to not trust that Jesus can take care of that person himself, we all, when coming to Jesus, carry baggage and Jesus through his teachings is changing us from glory to glory. Surely, when a person makes covenant with Jesus through the sinners prayer the acknowledgment of their personal need is dealt with there. Bless you Sue.

The problem is that many churches think obedience to God is "a work".

Also while the Jews (who posted the blood) were saved during passover. The majority of them didn't make it into the promised land. (Not even Moses).

Amen. Bless you mate. when people mention the failings of brothers, they should read the account of the Passover. Moses told the Israelites to kill a lamb with no blemish, smear the blood on the door lintel and be inside when the angel of death passes over. The first born of all who weren't covered by the blood of the lamb perished. There could have been paedophiles, murderers, thieves along with the righteous, but the blood of the lamb protected them. Not their condition. Being a sinner who in his lifetime has committed capital crimes. That allows me hope. Jesus is the Lamb of God and we are covered by his blood, our sin has never been an issue. Bless you brother. Trevor.

Amen brother,

As you say, I fully agree my friend...
The interesting fact, is that there were no criteria, other than the covering of the blood that was necessary to save those inside the blood covered houses.

The Corona, Covid-19 virus is nothing more than a pestilence. A nasty pestilence for sure but it is a pestilence.

We are told in scripture, in the latter days, there will be an increase in pestilences. We can and should pray for protection from the pestilences. We are covered by His Blood, we need to pray protection through His Blood against the pestilence, and that it will 'pass over'. It will.

We do not know who started this pestilence, covid-19, we could ask, is it satanic, is it from God? The answer is not important, what is important is pestilences were prophesied, pestilences are occurring and increasing, HIV, MERS, SARS, EBOLA, COVID-19.

We also know that God will shake the world for it's ungodliness in these latter days, He is!

Not surprizing we should see these things happen and increase, there will be more! The world is so materialistic today, so false godly, so sinful, so 'as the days of Noah were. So Sodom and Gomorrahish. Punishment by God is inevitable and understandable.

But the saved, the elect, the saints, can pray for protection through His blood, remain indoors and let it pass over.

This doesn't mean all saved souls will be free from covid-19, our lives are in God's hands, if He still has work for us we will remain a little longer, I am sure He has used some saved souls as a witness in the hospitals already, a witness to doctors, to nurses, to other patients. Our Lord knows best, we believe and Trust in Him brother.

The apostle Paul calls us to obey and pray for those in authority. to follow that advice is, I believe, wise. We are aliens in this world and Satan has no jurisdiction over us. As Christians we need to stand on that fact and put on the full armour that has been provided. I'm learning as I write this, we need to re-read Eph 6 and fully understand our armour and sharpen the sword of the Spirit. But he hasn't let us down yet and if we stand on the Word he won't. Like Jesus in the desert, when the temptations come to doubt, we need to speak out the Word as Jesus did. We need to tell our doubts, that come from Satan, that they have no rights because we are citizens of another realm in which they have no jurisdiction. We need to stand as soldiers and praise our King.

Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
Ye soldiers of the cross;

Lift high His royal banner,
It must not suffer loss:
From vict’ry unto vict’ry
His army shall He lead,

Till every foe is vanquished
And Christ is Lord indeed.

Stand up! stand up for Jesus!
Ye soldiers of the cross...

Onward Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before.
Christ, the royal Master,
Leads against the foe;
Forward into battle,
See, His banners go!

Onward Christian soldiers!
Marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus
Going on before.

2 Timothy 4:2 (NKJV)
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

Matthew 17:17-21 (NKJV)
17 Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me."
18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.
19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?"
20 So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting."

What do think sharing the Gospel unto salvation IS. We share Scripture with a person.

Romans 3:23 / 6: 23 ---- For All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The penalty For our sinfulness. Does the person realize that they Are a sinner or Not. The term 'salvation" means being 'saved' from something / To something.

I tell you Paul, we really need to prepare for battle, there are thousands of our brothers and sisters being persecuted and killed throughout the world and I don't think it will be too long before we in the west will be called to be counted. And I believe it may even cause the church to split. We really need to revisit scriptures, such as Jesus's encounter with Satan in the desert and his encounters with spiritual forces throughout the gospels to learn from him how to overcome. We are in exiting times my friend.

. Hi Sue, I was under the impression that Christians were called to witness the gospel to the unsaved, not find fault with those who have already accepted Jesus, or don't you believe that the helper, the Holy Spirit is capable to take care of those who Jesus has called. Most Christians, when they come to Jesus, are targets for the enemy, the accuser of the brethren, are we to do his job for him?

Greetings Trevor

I will start by saying, the battle is not ours brother, the battle is won, well at least we know there is a finish line. That said we are 'called out' of this world, we are soldiers for Christ, we are His, we are to do His will, we are to share the Good News, we are to point out, shout out, and make clear the evil and wickedness in the world.

Bringing people to Christ is what is expected of us. When Jesus was on earth He reached as many as He could at that time, He returned to the Father, but gave us the Great Commission, we have our instructions, be wise as serpents and harmless as doves, share the Love of Christ with all we can, whilst God is accessable.

The end times are often misunderstood, they are the last 2000 years, it is the time of the Gentiles. The latter days some don't take enough notice of, these are the coming of the end, 'limited period' times. I believe the latter days were conceived on 14 May 1948, as every woman knows, a pregnancy in a human lasts 9 months, the time element is not the important factor in what Jesus tells us in scripture, the period is of prime importance. A pregnancy has three phases, I don't know the medical term but again that is not important, there is the initial 1/3, the intermediate 1/3 and the final 1/3 periods.

Matthew 24:4-8 (NIV2011)
4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8
All these are the beginning of birth pains.

We are in the last 1/3 period on pregnancy, we have been for some time. Time is getting shorter by the day.

I believe the latter days were conceived on 14 May 1948, although some may say there has always been wars and earthquakes, and it is true there has been, nothing could come together until the Jews returned to Israel. Although governments tried to do this in the 1920's, they did not succeed, it had to be done in God's time, not man's time. So the Balfour Treaty didn't succeed. God also knew there would be a world war 2, that had to happen first. But soon after that terrible war, the Jews started to return to the promised land, and Israel was declared a state, 14 May 1948. The latter days were conceived, but as in any pregnancy there are 3 stages, the first 1/3 little shows, the second 1/3 things really do start to show, the latter period continues as the second, advancing, quickening, until the birth pangs start, at that point the woman in labour know the end of the pregnancy is due, any day.

Initially from 1948 we saw little happen, as in the first 1/3 of pregnancy. Then we saw the explosion of Free love, Free sex, Free spirit, anything goes. A lot of us loved through this, we were drawn into it. But many other things started to happen, the Berlin wall was knocked down, thus making it easier for Rosh to come down from the north in the final battle. China, one of the poorest countries in the world started to grow, we know the final battle will come out of the north, Rosh Russia and the east, China! These things and more started to happen in the early stage of the pregnancy, as we know China is the second largest economy in the world! Russia has got into bed with Syria, has been flirting with Turkey and more, they are fletching their military muscle worldwide.

As time moved on into the second stage of the pregnancy, statistically it is confirmed wars and rumours of wars increased, increase in pestilences increased, hard began hardened, children became disobedient to their parents, young and old became more opinionated, man goes with man, woman with woman, divorces increased, marriage was no longer considered necessary, the Lord's Prayer and Ten Commandments were banned from many public places, famines though being a problem in the past get worse, all these prophesied events continued to worsen between the 2nd and last phases of the pregnancy Jesus gave us as a picture of these latter days, and what a picture he gave us, graphic in detail, easy to follow and the event stated are seen so clearly. Let us all sit up and take note, time is running out fast...

Matthew 24:4-8 (NIV2011)

KJV & NKJV use the words 'time of sorrows' for birth pains. Both portray what the period will be like 'at the end' of the latter days

Scripture also goes on to tells us many more things about this time, latter days, birth pang period, the period is close to the end.

Luke 21:25-26 (NKJV)
25 "And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring;
26 men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of heaven will be shaken.

We must be ready, tomorrow could be to late, time is short, our Lord WILL Return for the ekklesia at the twinkling of an eye. There will be no time to say one word, not even 'Lord', we must accept Him before He returns, we must be ready. The parable of the ten virgins sums up our situation well.

Matthew 25:1-13
