is this in the Word?

Ushalk- I understand God has us each at different places in our lives- just remember worship is not about us what we like or dislike!! Its always about HIM!

yes that is what i was agreeing with you on mostly. but you write a lot of truth and i appreciate you in that sister.

my attention should not have been on what others were doing in their worship. rather it should have been on how the holy spirit was moving in me to worship.

Meaning? We should watch our own steps, paying close attention to our own actions, because we all will be judged in the end?

the bible states to raise holy hands fall on our faces or knees to praise his name it says to dance before the lord and make a joyful sound to the lord. lift up our heads hands and voices to the lord.

Tell me, please what Bible scripture states this.?

it is always in reference to prayer
Psalm 28:2
Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
1 Timothy 2:8
I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

The Scripture says it all!

"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord" (Ps 100: 1 KJV)

Thank you Ed, for this wonderful scripture!

Psalm 100:1-5

Psalm of Thanksgiving.

1 Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands!

2 Serve the LORD with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.

3 Know that the LORD, He is God;
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.

5 For the LORD is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.

Absolutely!

If ONLY people would obey to the scriptures & not ONLY read them.

(Genesis 4:6 & 7, Deuteronomy 5:29, John 14:12)

Obedience is better than scariface. I believe how can we show the Lord how much we love Him. I can not lift up enough Holy hands or do enough witnessing it would never be enough for Him. (I still do this) We show we love Him by our obedience, when He ask something we do it and do not question it just do it.

in His service,

Just a thought...do we go to church to be seen and heard? What is it that we do there that involves the Spirit of the Lord and the body of believers? While I have not witnessed any "shaking", I have seen people dance like John Travolta, or do cartwheels/somersaults down the aisles during worship. I wonder how the men and the women of the bible would accomplish this?

And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant? Joshua 5:14

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. Psalms 95:6

I attend many different churches for revivals, singings, camp meetings and many of these are pentecostal and charismatic churches where the Holy Spirit manifests in different ways. I've seen exactly what you're refering to as well. It's as if there'ye consumed by the fire of the Holy Spirit. Totally submersed in His presence and completely yeilding to Him. Even though their body shakes uncontrolably, I've never seen 1 of them get hurt. For the Holy Spirit is a gentleman.

look the spirit can do things through all of us at the same time. that is the love and the power of our lord.

mercy is better than sacrifice. that word obedience is only half true to the ancient greek language. obedience is very important and infact is the basis for mercy. because the lord has mercy on us and an abundance of it at that. but if we have no mercy than i dare to sasy that we have no love and the lord is not in us.
