Praying for you and your wife brother, get her some herbal cigarrettes there is no nicotine in them, and some flavored nicoret gum, 2mg. After about five days the worst of withdrawl should be over, then quit the herbal cigs as they still have tar in them, and also quit the gum.

i will be praying for your medical issues and for your wife to quit smoking. i smoked for about 20 yrs. and quit several times before i really gave them up. it was one of the hardest things i've ever done. i'm also going thru a medical issue right now. remember Psalm 34:19- many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. also you may want to read Philippians 4: 12-13, i can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Praise God!!! how awesome is that? what a God we serve! please remember me in your prayers also. God knows all about it. God bless you and your wife. cat.

Many thanks for the prayers

I came home from the hospital last night after a 2day run of test and a heart cath, the results were all good the medicine they had me on has been the problem all along. Praise God for that.
And my wife is trying agaian to quit smoking, she says that God knows when she is going home and that her smoking wont make a difference on that day, I have read her about our body being Gods temple and we are suppose to take care of it. But she seems to want to stay with her belief. I need some help coming up with scripture to show her God wants her to take care of herself. I have even tried to get the children involved with it but she is convinced of her belief. Cat my wife and I are praying for you also. "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be enslaved by anything.

Can smoking be considered "beneficial" (1 Corinthians 6:12)?

Can it be said that smoking is truly "honoring God with your body" (1 Corinthians 6:20)?

Can a person smoke "to the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31)?

The answer is "no." As a result, smoking is a sin and should not be practiced by followers of Jesus Christ.
