hi...I am new to this website. I have been struggling with many issues over the last year, including the closing of my church of 22 yrs, problems with my 19 yr old son and an off and on dependence to pain medication for a back injury and my spirits are very low. I am suffering from depression. I have a hard time just doing my daily routine. I have support from my daughters but not really any from my husband, which makes me feel more lonely and isolated. I used to walk every day and spend time with God in prayer. I have fallen away from doing that as well. I dont know what to do...some days I feel like I cant go on. I want to get my life back on track. I worry about my health all the time and I know that Satan takes full advantage of my weakness in that area. If anyone has gone thru a similar situation or can shed light on this for me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and God Bless

Praying for you.

God loves you & cares about you & what you are going through.

Suggestions:

Watch &/or listen to things that will make you laugh.
For laughter is medicine to body & soul.

Walk or ride & look at God's creation, remembering that just as there are seasons in it, there are also seasons in our lives.
The spring WILL come again.

God is for you, so who can be against you?

God transforms the impossibles to possibles.

There are more for you than against you.
Read 2Kings 6:8-17.

Praying for you, asking the Lord to bless your life with peace and joy. i take a natural anti-depressant ( an amino acid called GABA) it releases endorphins in your body and it really helps me and my husband both. i will keep you in my prayers.

Lifting you up before His Throne in my prayers

My sister I am praying and believing God for good things in your life. You should consider talking to another local Pastor. I am sure you will be able (with God's help) to find one that can give you godly counsel.

i have also been through depression. Its not a fun experience, and i know exactly what your going through. Some days you think whats the point in all this? and others you feel you want to walk another mile. And not having many people to support you can make you feel like you are alone. But God is standing right next to you, breathing life into you, just enough to help you keep going. And one day, God will somehow make things fall into place in your life, and it wont seem so bad. Im praying for you, and I hope God has someone cross your path to bring wisdom and sunshine to your life, and helps show you, that your not alone :) I believe you can make it through this

thank you very much for your suggestion, but my church closed last year and I now roam from church to church with no real home, so there is not a pastor that I feel comfortable enough with to talk to. I lift my prayers to God right now....that used to bring me comfort and hope but lately it has not...I just hurt and feel alone. I try to stay positive but it is hard

Thank you so much.....I have been told to try HTP-5 which I think is to boost serotonin levels. I will give that a try

Sometimes it is easier to talk openly and honestly with someone who you do not know personally.
But the choice is yours. I will certainly be praying for you.

Thank you for sharing...I do think it helps to talk to and connect with others who have had depression issues, cuz they understand what those who have never experienced depression cant. Thanks also for your prayers and support :)

Praying for you. Remember Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
