In Ministry, how you approach someone will open a door or slam it shut forever. Jesus built bridges and that is something I want to do.

So, if you are ministering to the Lesbian, Gay and Transgendered community the approach is all important. A great start is to see what the needs are. Not so much from what we see, but from what they see.

Build a relationship first, serve first according to their needs. Begin with conversation. Be attractive, remember people were attracted to Jesus.

These are just some ideas. What are yours? Are you already in this sort of ministry. Remember the ultimate goal is to lead them to Christ not beat them over the head.

Hi Ron! Everyone with a heart to hear is in ministry of some sort.
It is extremely important to be led of the Holy Spirit. It is only at His leading that anything of eternal consequence can occur. Sometimes He will lead you to confront someone in their sin but very often He will draw them with His love.
That being said the most impact I have seen in the lives of these precious souls is when they are presented with that which they do not expect.
Instead of calling them down be a living expression of His love and caring. That does not coddle nor embrace their sinful lifestyle but it does open doors.
When someone knows you genuinely care for them walls slowly come down. At times of crisis they will seek you out, ask counsel and or prayer. It is those quiet , personal times when I have seen hearts open, bondage broken and souls converted.
It is His kindness that leads us to repentance.
If that kindness of God is expressed in a gentle, caring call to repentance or a strong Word calling for repentance both are genuine expressions of His love.
Just remember: what is born of flesh is flesh- it is not the effort of man that will save them but it is God's will that the anointing of God flow through a yielded vessel to reach the lost.

Be open, willing to listen more than talk.
Never condem and just be your loving self.

Pay particular attention what would Jesus would have you do.
Remember that a person's sin is no worse than yours, to God sin is sin.
Look for opportuntines to tell how Jesus has already forgiven them at the cross. That they are just as worthy now as you were when you recieved your salvation.

Tell them that God loves them and as unbelievable as it may sound , God loves them as much as He loves His own Son!

Look for opportunities to allow Christ to work through you.
If they are a lost person, at some point it will come out that their missing something in their life that their current lifestyle is not providing.

If they ask, be ready to witness God' saving grace and that Christ living in you is what makes the difference; only he can fill the emptiness.
If they, at the time, are completely happy with their lifestyle, there is not much that you can do. If your close to them you can certainly voice your opinion about their lifestyle but don't beat them on the head with it, as you would agree, that gets nowhere.

Again, find if they would like to know more about what salvation gives and search them out to see if they are currently happy and feel fullfilled.
