I wonder if asking which one has "more power" his word (the scriptures) or his name is a bit of a false dichotomy?
If indeed it is the word (scripture) you're referring to or maybe The Word (person of Jesus).
I'm not sure, like Coconut, i'm a tad confused.

LOL Nope. Just getting you digging. GOD created the world by HIS WORD. Not by invoking JESUS' name. We take dominion in the Earth by speaking HIS Word by HIS authority. Thus we say "In JESUS name" Or translated..."By/in the authority JESUS has given me."
If I pray over you to see you healed, I say "By JESUS stripes you are healed" I speak HIS WORD "In JESUS name"

I'm not sure it matter's all that much. There is a difference between Logo's (the written Word of God) and Rhema (the spoken Word of God). We can do things in Jesus' name, however we don't have the power to "speak things into existence" (Genesis 1:3, 1:6, 1:9, etc..) any power we have comes from him either way.

As I said above somewhere...We have the authority to speak the results we want and the right to see them come to pass. JESUS has been given all authority and HE delegated it to us.

This is one reason JESUS told us to let our conversation be Yea and nay. The words we speak have the same creative power that the FATHER used to speak the world into existence. Did HE not create us in HIS image?

BAC I speak the truth about the power of our words. It matters not at all whether you believe it or not. The truth stands. When you speak, the power goes out and you get results. So let the words be in line with the WORD. Or not spoken at all.
Then how can some speak prophecies (false) that do not come to pass?

You pulled Psalm 138:2 out of the scripture, and used it to declare

That`s like saying Coconut you are greater than yourself.

There is a difference between "having dominion" over God's creation and "having all authority in heaven and earth".
We need to be careful here. Yes God let's man be stewards and masters over the Earth. (It could be argued at certain levels who was the ruler of the earth at different times, but that's another discussion).
I'm not sure what you mean above about "when you speak the power goes out" so I'm making an assumption here and if I'm wrong I apologize in advance.
In a way, our words can make things happen. For example...
James 5:16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
But when I'm praying, is it MY power, or God's power that "accomplishes much". Am I the one answering the prayer, or is it God.
He gave us SOME authority. The statement above seems dangerously close to "we have the same power(s) as Jesus".
Well, if Jesus is God, and we are trying make ourselves like him... what are trying to make ourselves into?
This has to be taken in context, yes the Bible says Jesus is our example and we should become like him, in ways like behavior and love and compassion (see fruits of the Spirit) etc...
But that is different from becoming like him in ways of "all authority and power".
Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before Me.
I'm pretty sure that includes ourselves. Anytime we put our will before God's will we make ourselves into God (I do this more often than I care to admit) and it is sin.
