I'm so ashamed!

Last Monday, I learned there is a possibility that my husband and I could lose the house that God blessed us with two years ago. The house that I had prayed for so many years for. The house that I had patiently waited for and trusted God to bless us with. Without Him, this modest, broken-down, yet beautiful-to-me home that fulfills my family's needs would never have been possible.

With all the disasters worldwide, I am ashamed to ask anyone to join me in praying for God's intervention. Long ago, I surrendered my life to Him. He is in control and whatever is His will, I accept. I pray, though, that this home, where Jesus and my family dwell together, is what He wants for us.

How selfish am I to ask this of God whilst others have already lost everything! Some, even their lives or loved ones.

I am in despair, though. While I do pray for God's loving mercy, comfort, and blessings on the disaster victims, I selfishly pray for God to bless me and my family once again with his intervention.

I pray God will forgive my selfishness as well. I am sorry.

In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Please pray for me and my family. Thank you, and GBU all!
It is not selfish to pray to our Father for you needs, He tells us to. We are disobiedant if we do not. Yes, I will join you in prayer.
Your sister in Christ,
Yeah ok i ain't selfish amen to pray about your house ok? because i Matthew 6 verse 25 it says about don't worry about what you will eat or wear or drink or ya life yeah? Because isn't life more than food and the body more then clothing?

Yeah so like, god is comparing stuff and saying its not worth it to compare it all because he takes care of it all yeah?

So like, you compar your house with someone elses like bad in there lives and think you are winging right? but god is like, don't compar it because is bad for you whatever yeah? same as if i had no clothes. You would not want me to say like oh, i wont mansion it because amen has some serous stuff going on with her house yeah? nah it would be a worry to me.

So like if its clothes or house or life or like is all gud because if we didn't shout about it it would be inside driving ya crazy right and thats what is not good ok?

And OH also, if you tell someone and they pray yeah? then they get there head off they own stuff in there life and can feel better to pray and help someone else ok?

So is all good yeah.

Dear God
Life sometimes especially when you loose big stuff or mite loose big stuff. But sometimes there is some better stuff round the corner. sometimes it doesn't happen what we worryed about and sometimes it does and we just have to hold on until the crazy bit stops. Please give amen some scriptures about what she needs to do and some friends to talk to who can let her get all the worrys out of her head. You said in the bible that you don't take back stuff you give to people so i am just reminding you of that ok?

I like to let the Scripture do the talking. You are not being selfish. GOD wants us to be richly blessed and not lacking in anything. As a matter of fact, that is how (one way) GOD is glorified. Can GOD truly be glorified if a believer of His is lacking in life? Surely not!

Matthew 21:22
If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.

Luke 11:10
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

John 16:24
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

1 John 3:22
and receive from him anything we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him.

Proverbs 28:20
A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.

Romans 10:12
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,
Thank you, Jesus, for sending these wonderful people to comfort me. Thanks to each of you for the service you do in the name of Jesus. I know God will not only see us through, but we will also be stronger for it. He has multiplied our blessings. Thank you Jesus!

Amen!

I am in agreement with my brothers and sisters here at TJ. I don't think it is God's will to lose your home. So I also will pray that the Lord open the doors you need opened to keep your home. The Lord is our provider.

Your sister in Christ,
AlabasterBox :girl:

You are in no way selfish. All of us have needs while feeling compassion for others. I pray that our Father will hear and answer your prayers.Dont be in despair the Lord is right there with you and He is worthy of our trust.God Bless.

Hello Amen

This is not selfish to want to keep your home. The enemy is trying to condemn you and make you feel guilty about this. Their is no condmenations for those who are in Christ Jesus who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. God said he would provide all our need according to His riches in glory and you need a home for your family. When the woman was criticized for anointing Jesus with expensive perfume saying it was a waste and should be given to the poor, what did He reply? He said there will always be the poor. There are always those who are in need and we do as God leads to help them. But then He multiplies back to us what we have given to Him in love and obedience; good measure pressed down shaken together, and running over. I will be praying and God will provide .
Thanks again, from the bottom of my heart, everyone. You are each proof of God's loving kindness and blessings upon me. I have taken MUCH comfort in the Word and in your words. The knot in the pit of my stomach is gone. GBU all!!

Amen!
God wants us to turn to him always about issues in our lives. You are in my prayers sis. God bless you and keep you and may he shine his face upon you always.

"Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

Mark 11:24
"Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.

These scriptures came to my mind the minute I read your post. It is not God's will that you lose your house. Remain faithful, and God will give you the desires of your heart.

Home is where the heart is

:rose:Hey Amen: Seems like lot of folks believe that you should pray to our Father, for His help and compassion on your suffering. Don't take on guilt because you think others are worse off than you. Don't compare your needs to others. The birds are clothed in spendor and so should you be, as a child of God. Please don't take on the burden of guilt, it is from the evil one and not yours to carry. God bless you. :rose:
With everything going on in the world it's natural to feel we're too blessed to ask for more, especially in a country that's the richest in the world. But we are blessed BY GOD - so obviously He wants us to have these things. Amen! this is your HOME; it isn't a rich mansion you asked for, or great wealth to squander. Something tells me you give to charity, too, so your own wealth is redistributed the way God intends; and that's the way you bless Him back. You might want to note a bit of scripture that was skipped in this thread so far, which is the PRAYER OF JABEZ. I don't know if you're ever heard of it, or read it, but it is one of the most powerful prayers and a real "paradigm shift" for many people - when they realize that God WANTS US TO ASK HIM. Jabez's name means "pain" because his mother had so much trouble birthing him. In the course of his life, the famous "Prayer of Jabez" was chronicled and it says, "Father... increase my territory..." and what good father wouldn't do so for His beloved Child? You should EXPECT blessings; you are a Child of God; you should ASK when you need; He wants to provide for you. Look up this prayer; use it; it's got great verbage to use when you need the things of life that are necessary for you, and your family, to prosper.

Of course, our gratitude is what counts here - we must credit it all to God! Here are two interpretations of the original scripture:

1 Chronicles 4:10 - And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. (Revised Standard)

1 Chronicles 4:10 - Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, "Oh that thou wouldst bless me and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that thou wouldst keep me from harm so that it might not hurt me!" And God granted what he asked. (KJV)

Also, of course, is Jer. 29: 11 For I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. 13 You will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart!

God bless you abundantly in all the things you ask of Him,CaliFlower :rose:
