Hey everyone! My name is Britta, i'm 17...and I grew up in a very solid, loving Christian home with seven siblings. I was very on fire for God and firm in my faith until I was about 15 years old. I made some crappy decisions, dappling in the world. I found satisfaction in attention from boys instead of in my love for God. I never fell away from my faith, as I was still steadily reading my Bible and praying, going on missions trips, attending church, going to Church camp, hanging with my Christian friends, seeking wisdom and searching out God's will. But I just kept slipping up. Satan had a good grip on my heel, and every once in awhile i think he got a kick out of tripping me. I have never fallen away, but I have slowly drifted. I was much stronger in my faith at age 10 than I am now, and i'm disappointed in myself. My parents are ashamed of me, because everyone knows who i've become and things that i've done. I now have many broken relationships, lots of baggage and guilt, and a bad reputation to carry with me. I just want to go back to who I was before, and I know that to an extent that can't happen. But I know I can become stronger and wiser for what i have been through. And I really need help and encouragement...especially from older girls who have been through some of the same things. I really need some help and wisdom. I'd appreciate any older girls privately messaging me I could use a really good female mentor!! Thank you. :air_kiss:

Life can be hard/tough......hence the saying....Such is life.

Welcome, Britta. I'm not a female, but I do have some good advice for you: Study the parable of the Prodigal Son (Lk 15:11-24). See yourself as the prodigal and God as the father. That will tell you what God thinks of you.
Hi Britta Welcome to Talk Jesus we're glad you are here. We have all made mistakes and fallen, but the Good news is Jesus is there to pick us up..I too made bad decisions in my life and enjoyed the attention of men instead of my Lord Jesus, but He was there all the time and beckoning me to come home and once I figured out the world can never give me what Jesus did I made the choice to serve Him and not look back. One of the most important things you can do for yourself is to stop beating yourself up for the past mistakes and keep moving forward in Jesus not looking back but unto Him who is able to heal you in more ways than you ever imagined. You are loved Britta by God more than you can ever know and will never stop loving you. You Britta were and are worth Jesus dieing for you so you could be free in Him. Our enemy satan will try to tell you otherwise because he is a liar and doesn't want you to be happy, but know this britta...The joy of the Lord is your strength...Jesus is your strength and in Him you will be able to over the lies of the enemy. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in world. Keep on reading your bible and praying and each day renew your mind in our Lord Jesus.

Welcome Britta! Im so glad to see you here. First of all I want to let you know that you're not the only who has gone through that kind of situation. Most teenagers do, in this day and age, satan uses so many ways to turn our eyes from our faith. But real Christians are always convicted by the Holy Spirit, you know in your heart that something is wrong, and thats the best part about it - we can always go back to the Lord... You might be thinking, "No, I did a terrible thing.. I can't go back." Pride, shame, guilt... all those things will make you feel you cant go back. But dont ever listen to them. Jesus will always accept you with open arms.. The things you want to change or you want to be renewed, it can happen, with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ. Humble yourself to Him, pray continuously that you will have the fire back. Don't let the enemy snatch your attention. God can even mend broken relationships. Believe. Have faith and don't ever be afraid to do little steps towards Him. If you feel that you're 100 steps away from the Lord, take 1 step, He will do the 99.
