But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: (2 Corinthians 4:3)

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. (1 Thessalonians 1:5)

Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. (2 Timothy 2:10)

For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. (Proverbs 8:35)

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, (Philippians 3:8)

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. (Matthew 13:44)

I Love this thread!!!!!

Thank you so much for it!

I think one of the biggest deceptions is that a person thinking just because they believe in God and are a good person, then they are convinced that they will make it to heaven!!!!!

I was like that a lonh long time..... but I heard something so simple that a preacher said that really hit home with me!

He said that" you can be a really good person, the best hearted person in the world, but if you don't have a plane ticket, then they ain't gonna let ya fly"!!!!!

We must accept christ into our heart, abd repent from our sins and be saved! Through the precious blood of Jesus, is the only way we will go to heaven!

Thanks for the kind words, and welcome to the boards sister Kyval82. Father God, lift up her son Gavin into Your care, heal his body and make him whole, in Lord Jesus' Name, amen. Please keep us informed of his progress.

Here's today's offering...

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. (Isaiah 55:1)

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (Romans 3:24)

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11)

And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. (Acts 13:39)

If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. (Job 9:20)

Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:12)

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. (1 Timothy 6:12)

And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? (Romans 9:23-24)

For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. (Acts 13:47)

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. (Luke 24:47)

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; (Acts 3:19)
