I love Jesus Christ. He is in my heart and the Holy Spirit is my counsel. When I turn to you at Talk Jesus, I am indeed counseled. Thank you for taking the time to answer my fledgling questions.

Below is a passage, that I haven't come to fully understand, except that Jesus is giving all Glory to the Father. It seems to me that He separates His identity and acknowledges the Father as God, the Vine dresser, the Potter.... Could anyone expand on this?

# Mark 10:18 (Whole Chapter)
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone.

Also there is this beautiful prose from Jesus.

# Matthew 11:29 (Whole Chapter)
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Just thought I would throw that one in, He is so Beautiful.

Finally one last question I ask of my friends here at Talk Jesus. How do you consider the following verse? Perhaps Jesus was referring to the Jewish peoples, scribes, etc..., but I wonder if He is referring to us too. That we all take responsibility for the death of the prophets. Are we the generation too, the generation of Jesus Christ?

6Jesus replied, "And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.

47"Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, and it was your forefathers who killed them. 48So you testify that you approve of what your forefathers did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs. 49Because of this, God in his wisdom said, 'I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.' 50Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world, 51from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all.

We are sanctified by the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ Himself. That is why I pay special attention to my prayers, that they may reach my Father, through Lord Jesus Christ.

Any input would be great. Thank you all at Talk Jesus, for helping me continue to grow in Lord Jesus Christ. Amen:)Pixie:lightning :sun: :rainbow:

Hi sister pixie, I moved your thread to the Bible chat forum , I think it's more fitting here.

You know, God works in different areas in life, He also helps me to interconnect events and even threads with each other.

I was reading Romans 3 yesterday, as per request from a new member, he started a Romans 3 thread in Bible chat. Romans 3 is not hard to understand, but it' not easy either.

One of the things mentioned is put in relevance in this passage in the Bible.

Romans 3:23
23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

I believe if you read Romans 3 and ask the Spirit to lead you, you will get a realization and thought process that no one is ever searching for God. No one is good, no one is righteouss.

That is why Jesus is saying, don't call me good, God is good. He is saying, if you agree that I am good, you must agree that I am God. For no one is good, except He that lives in God.

Now the question of a yoke, like I spoke with my mother recently, I asked her: "mom, what does Jesus mean by yoke?" She said this: " A yoke is a device that was used to fasten two oxes to a device for ploughing or to pull a cart or something" The definition is this: a pair of draft animals joined by a yoke; "pulled by a yoke of oxen"

We have to be under the yoke of Jesus, what is His yoke? His yoke is gentleness, humbleness and rest.

I think the last part you asked about is exactly that, Jesus could be speaking about some people that like to have everything, but they don't care to give anything.

I have no dissagreement with your opinion, it's a lovely opinion and I was blessed by it.

God bless you sister
Much love
