I called

I called upon The Lord
He was great
He saw what I was going through
He's my mate
He took away the evil thoughts
That clogged my human mind
Gave me strength to counter them
He gave sight to the blind.

Now the urge has disappeared
I'm back to where I was
Fear has been replaced by love
And it is all because
I realised what I had gained
Was in fact a loss
Compared to what I have in Christ
It isn't worth a toss.
