Hello, my name is Kevin and I'm kind of new to the whole fellowship/companion thing. I must begin by saying that I haven't gone to church in many years except for one night a couple months back.
I've been, I guess, in denial for several years that God is watching over my actions and have grown angry at circumstances in life until one evening about a week ago I was finally able to realize that the anger that I saw in everything around me was God smacking me in the face and telling me to listen.
I am currently lost and confused and trying to simply find a way through my own turmoil as I show compassion to others about theirs.
Matthew 9:36 says "When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." -NIV
With that in mind, I took it upon myself to be the bearer of burdens and try to show compassion in others suffering, simply because I felt it was the right thing to do, but as I reflect back on it I've come to realize that I've been drawing myself deeper and deeper into resentment for the people I'm trying to help simply because they either don't care or lack the ambition to help themselves.
So, I hope that's a good introduction and I thank everyone for having this place available.
