Hello
@God's Truth,
No, I do not agree with you:
Finally you just say so.
Well if you don't agree that we have to do what Jesus says to do to get saved and stay saved, then that is your choice.
Jesus tells us how to have the kind of heart he saves and lives in.
You go against that.
for we are God's workmanship, and it is He who deals with sin within, by the operation of the Holy Spirit, through the word of God, on heart and life.
We are only God's workmanship if we obey Him!
I believe that a person is saved UNTO good works, not BY them. That God's righteousness is imputed unto the believer in the Lord Jesus Christ: i.e., Having believed God it is counted unto him for righteousness (Romans 4:5; Romans 4:22-24).
Read it more carefully, for Paul himself tells you plainly it is about faith verses CIRCUMCISION.
Paul would never ever tell someone they were saved by faith and not obeying by repenting of sins.
You also brought up Romans to try to prove we only have to have faith and nothing else, but look at these scriptures, they PROVE the not of works is about the purification works such as CIRCUMCISION:
Romans 2:25
Circumcision has value if you observe the law, but if you break the law, you have become as though you had not been
circumcised.
Romans 2:27 The one who is not
circumcised physically and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and
circumcision, are a lawbreaker.
Romans 2:28 A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is
circumcision merely outward and physical.
Romans 2:29 No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and
circumcision is
circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God
.Romans 3:1 [ God’s Faithfulness ] What advantage, then, is there in being a Jew, or what value is there in
circumcision?
Romans 4:11 And he received
circumcision as a sign, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still
uncircumcised. So then, he is the father of all who believe but have not been
circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them.
Regarding sin: the believer is dead unto sin, but alive unto God (Romans 6:11): It is by reckoning on that truth that victory over sin is entered into and achieved, by faith in the efficacy of the atoning blood of Christ. Sin no longer has dominion over us (Romans 6:14).
Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris
You have to confess and repent of your sins and die to the sins of the world, crucify yourself on that cross to sin with Christ Jesus.
Why you want to keep preaching against that is a sad thing in deed.
Romans 6:6 We know that
our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
Colossians 3:3 For
you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
Read this scripture:
John 3:3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you,
no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
No die to this life and sin, no being born again.
Believe and obey Jesus!
