Heavenly Father creator of all things, I thank you for your love, mercy and protection. Lord I ask that you protect everyone of us that is to be affected by this storm. I ask that those who need to evacuate do so in a timely manner, that they will take heed to the warnings and not wait last minute. Thank you for our leaders who have made provision and extraordinary efforts to put our safety first and money last. I don't think I'll see another day when the bridge tolls are free. Again Lord I ask that you give people wisdom and not think so highly of themselves as if they are immortal. This all reminds me of Noah and no one believed that the flood was coming. Give those who are in a panic comfort and peace, let your holy spirit minister to them and draw them close to you. Father I ask that no lives be lost that destruction be minimal and that the hurricane dies down. Father forgive us for mistreating this world you have created, I know these storms are not of your doings but are a result of our own selfishness and greed for oil.
We create bombs and drop them on this earth, thinking the only side effect is death to our enemies, we dump waste into the waters, never question where our nuclear waste goes. Forgive your church for not speaking out on these things. As we wait in expectation I thank you for your love and protection, I will never say this is your will because you did not create bombs, nuclear weapon or pollution. Us humans reaping what we sow, there's a spirit of arrogance in this country and in the hearts of it's citizens that's embedded at birth. The church is also guilty of having such a spirit. Remove that spirit and make us humble. Last night the bars was fill and the subway can be seen with party revelers.
Father you alone know if this storm will pass, yet they don't seem to care thinking it's NY and nothing ever happens.
