I am physically very limited in my activities and have joined several boards to interact with other Christians. Those others tend to be, if not just more debate oriented, more argumentative and mean spirited. I have enjoyed the sense of civility on this board even among those who disagree. This is not to say that I am not convicted and adamant about my doctrinal positions. I just think there is a more civil way to communicate those disagreements. I look forward to the interactions and dialogue with the members here. At any rate, I am a 61 year old who has been suffering with inoperable lung cancer for seven plus years. My days are in Gods hands and I look at each new day as His renewed mercies. Yours in Christ Jesus.

You are not alone Tom

Hi Tom, Like me I see you are a newbee but I am sure it won't be long before we feel right at home.

I too have been dealing with a couple of cancer problems over the past 18 months. When I was first diagnosed and I talked with Father God about it His response was simply 'cancer is such a small thing for me to deal with. Trust me'.

I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer and during their examinations discovered I also had a Cancerous tumour in my bladder. after a course of radiotherapy the prostate cancer is in remission and since the removal of the tumour in the bladder, though its been a painful process, I am on the mend and like you, Tom, I thank my heavenly father for every day He blesses me with.

For a while I felt quite helpless and redundant but you know, I decided if God hasn't taken me home then He must have a bigger plan for me.

Just know, Tom, that God loves you with an amazing love and will never ever forsake you. You will be in my prayers.
