I am a Christian, married father of two little girls.I grew up in a baptist church, was baptized at 15. I suppose I ran away from God for about 10 years, but didn't really realize that was the case untill hearing a sermon by Paul Washer. Since then I have studied the Bible along with prayer, and have been trying to grow each day to become a better ambassador for Jesus Christ. I feel that God is leading my studies and preparing me to fight against false doctrine. I have studied many other religions, not in the search for truth, mind you but more of a search for an explanation of why things are the way they are. Many religions have aspects so similar to christianity, that many christians mix and match based mostly on "what feels right". I should also mention that I am somewhat of a student of history. I have found what I believe to be the main cause of apostacy in our present world.

We must contend for the faith, once for all time delivered unto the saints, but to do that we must first identify the faith, once and for all time delivered unto the saints.

The same goes for loving the truth, the truth must first be identified.

May the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob lead us into all truth and give us an unquenchable desire to protect and teach the truth.

God bless you guys n gals

So glad you are here. Standing against false doctrine, means you will need strength. Study the Word and pray, putting on the armour of God. I agree in prayer with you for my ministry deals with the same. I know you will find encouragement and love here.
Thank God that He is our shield and buckler.

Thanks for the prayers and kind words. Strength is indeed needed, people really don't want to hear that they are wrong, or following false teachers. Most assuredly, it is not a way to make lots of friends, especially when all the "famous" preachers assault the scriptures on a daily basis.

Welcome:
I would enjoy hearing your views.Sometimes it seems as though the main difference between science and religion is that religion quit seeking the truth long ago.

Some of the things science now is exploring like parallel universes, the placebo effect and black holes with infinite internal expansion are encroaching into the believers realm.

Welcome to TJ, I must say that you seem like a powerful warrior for God. May He always be with you in your fight against false teachings so that people wont be mislead and set astray.

Amen! lol but friend the simple explanation as to why things are the way they are is because, the world is satans kingdom and a literall warzone for Christians and any other form of good or godliness.
