Today was a great message at church. So i felt like sharing it. The message was how to pray. Basically, we need to pray so that our will is aligned with God's will. And when we pray according to what God already wants to do, then our prayers are effective. An example was given; Jesus. When Jesus prayed to raise Lazarus from the dead, it was a very short prayer. Because Jesus knew it was His Father's will to raise Lazurus. The longest prayer that Jesus prayed was the night before His crucifixion. Because Jesus did not want to be crucified, and He wanted His Father to "wrestle" His will so that He would want what His Father wanted. Basically, we should be praying that God helps us to desire the things he he wants us to desire, feel the things he wants us to feel, and do the things he wants us to do.
