How do I figure out Gods will for my life?

The booklet you mentioned -- the Four Spiritual Laws is very good. It's good to start with the basics and then proceed -- personal growth is very important. Everyone has a beginning point.

It really scares me to know his will, I have too much fear in me. Will God make it known?
Hello @Godsangel,

My Mother wrote a Bible verse in my autograph book when I was a teenager. It has proved to be one which has meant a lot to me over the years. It is Proverbs 3:5-6, and will be no surprise to many, for it is well known and loved. I will add the two following verses for I believe they are necessary too.

'Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.'
(Proverbs 3:5-8)

You are God's workmanship, and He is working in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure, the work that He has begun in you He will continue to do until the day of Christ. Just make your requests known unto God in prayer, make the reading of His word a regular habit, and then place one foot in front of the other, and live, moment by moment, in the sure knowledge that He will lead you and direct you in the way that you should go. Giving thanks in all things, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Thank you
With love in Christ Jesus
our risen and glorified
Saviour, Lord and Head.
Chris

New American Standard 1977
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 1:7
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.
Job 28:28
And He said to man, 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to turn away from evil is understanding.'"

And Jesus Said:
4I tell you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. 5But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear the One who, after you have been killed, hasauthority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear Him!
(Luke 12).BSB.

Matthew 10:28
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Hebrews 10:31
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Now, You may choosen The One GOD who is to be feared. Or Choose the one Not to be feared. You Choose:eyes:

For I know The One I am going to choose:neutral: And when they line up, I know there are going to be a few with me,, but that is the number i will be in.
How can you be so sure when you clearly lack love for others who seek Christ by the way you speak to them and show little if no patience for them on their journey? I do not see a humble nature but you seem bitter and resentful of those who are learning the Bible. Jesus may have called the people " fools" but you are not Jesus! What is Jesus biggest commandment to His people? It is the one where you may be falling short because love does not speak that way. Pride does.

The best you can do is read God's word and pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you . My best advice is that it will lie in your childhood . Think back to your first heartfelt passion that moved you. What did you learn about as a kid that really bothered you and touched your heart, made you wish you could do something about it? The answers are within us and The Lord lets us know early what He wants us to do by instilling passion in us. It might be with animals, community, missing kids, foster kids, there is SOMETHING and if it involves love, it is from the Lord.

and have you forgotten, I am not a "christian" so why are you trying to make me out as one? The more you try to make me a christian the more i will look like a Liar and the more you will portray me and label me a "Hypocrite and deceiver". I will say this again for clarity" I do not call myself a Christian and I am not a Christian!

So what you are saying is you don't even believe in Jesus Christ, or that He is the Son of God? I am not trying to make you out to be a Christian- God Almighty has a Son named Jesus Christ, this is foretold in the Old Testament, in any Bible, and Jesus has fulfilled 351 prophesies in this book. Your God doesn't have a Son? Who is your God? Did He create anything?

Since there are almost a 100 diffinitions of the Word "Christian" so I don't enter into those personal labels of another person defining me who i am. I feel very offended and attacked by even discussing it. And if a person do not want me to label them any thing, i respect that person wishes, and leave it there!
Let the christians argue among themselves in such matters and leave me out of it. So have they been doin, for the last 1500 years or better, the arguments began about almost 30 years after Jesus Death and the resurrection Jesus died 25-30 before the name "Christian" was even created by a brunch of "Atheists" in Antoch, a City of a lot of "circe's" of the Goddess, & Greek GOD's of all kinds. Nothing but a town full of "Idol" worshipppers, through out the region for centuries, since the Greeks, invaded and change the whole culture around 330's BCE. Over three hundred years before Christ even was born. The Greek GOD worshippers had rule the "bible lands"! in temples, "circe's", language, culture, customs, before the greek word 'Christain' was even coined, with the greek definition.

Although the Romans conquered the Greek peninsula in 146 BC, they did not take control of Egypt until 31 BC. Jesus most likely was born around 34-41 A.D.
the bible is also a history book, remember.

Just because a person believes Jesus is the son of GOD would make that person a christian or a Believer. Believer in what? everyone has their own opinion i have found out throughout 40 plus years of "Biblical studies" in the text, bible cultures, history, "Biblical bible cities",

The Devil's beleive Jesus is the Son of GOD they know who He is ! does that make them "Christians"?

Luke 4:34
"Ha! What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are--the Holy One of God!"
Acts 19:15
Eventually, one of the evil spirits answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?

if you are a christian by your pick of definition of the word meaning, ok. I have do problem with your definition either. Neither do you have to express to me what it means, you said your are a "christain, ok. For you are among the 3,0 Billion christians in the world with there definition as well. I am not in conflict with a single one. Just like you say you are a "woman" ok, i get it. you are not a man. I don't get into details, maybe some people do. A female to me is a female, i am a male, and i know what a female is to ME! And I know why I like Females! No one has to explain that to Me! I can spot one out a thousand yards out, without a "scope":eyes: "That could be "Anthropormorhic" or in "Hyperbole' form. for expression.. For Language style, without harm or offensive to the hearers.
in good taste, with a little after flavor on the 'palate".:pensive:

P.S. Do i like to discuss the "Holy Scriptures", yes i do. Do I like to discuus "Biblical Truth" yes. Do i like to discusss unadulterated "Biblical Truth",yes I do. Do I like the art of "Biblical Interpretation" yes I do. Do I have a form of "Biblical Interpretaion" yes I do. Do I like the investigation of "Bibical words and Biblical Terminology" yes i do. Do I like to be "edified in sound doctrine with sound "exegesis". Yes I do. Am I fun of "Eisegesis" absolutely not!

Have I been "Baptise" yes i Have. Emerge around the age of 8, was I coach, no way, but in a sense, i wanted to join the childen choir, You had to be "Baptist", so what the heck, i knew how to swim, i took the Dunk! In the Name of The Father, In the Name of The Son and In the Name of The HOLY GHOST"! Now I have just become a "Baptist", with papers, i still have that Document! And still wear it as a badge of Honor:pensive: and i still know the song they was singing, when i went to the POOL! "Take me to The Water", Take me to the Water,,,,, to be Baptise" "And how I love Jesus" I song that song way over a 100 times by myself. walking down the streets, washing dishes, moping floors, washing clothes as a kid!. Then about 18 years later, on the Job, became a "child of GOD" born of His Spirirt" Born of Heaven, and met Jesus. and since 1977 "my soul" have been a "witness" for My Lord"! and thousands of "christians" have tried to take my testimony away! the world listens in amazment, but a lot of Christians label me as everything but a "Child of The Living GOD"! But so far "I have kept" the Faith" A Calvinist view: "The perseverance of The Saints"!

10for Demas forsook me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. 11Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee; for he is useful to me for ministering. 12But Tychicus I sent to Ephesus. 13The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, bring when thou comest, and the books, especially the parchments. 14Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord will render to him according to his works: 15of whom do thou also beware; for he greatly withstood our words.

16At my first defence no one took my part, but all forsook me: may it not be laid to their account. 17But the Lord stood by me, and strengthened me; that through me the message might me fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 18The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

"to all who will live Godly in "Jesus Christ" will suffer great pain." [in many ways]. but in the end, it will be worth every tear. that was shed.

I MADE IT MY BUSINESS, to fall in Love with the "Word of GoD" who is my 1st love. and only True love.

That is why i kinda of smile, when i heard about "A.W. Tozier's wife's quote by his, "A.W. "Bio" writer. She said: A.W. loved Jesus, my second husband after A.W. died loved me! The Bio Kinda condemn A.W. and said he fail his christian life by not loving his wife like a christian should. But Mrs. Toziers second husband got saved by the ministry of A.W. Toziers who had about 6-7 kids in their marriage, before he died:eyes: Mmmm. sounds like to me she worn the poor "Preacher out" to me!

@PloughBoy -- your reasoning for getting baptized -- well -- no pastor should have baptized you. You were given a certificate of Baptism -- which, in your case, simply meant that you got 'dunked' as you call it, Baptism by immersion is supposed to be showing the inner decision that has already been made in your heart. And obviously it hadn't been. You were baptized in order to join the children's choir.

Maybe the people around you simply wonder Why you act and talk like you do, That's Not trying to take your Christianity away.

And yes, the term Christian was first used by those making fun of the disciples. They were 'trying to act like Christ' as in 'ha ha'. But it Took. Being a Christian is saying that someone is trying to live in a Christ-like way. And that's a Good thing.

The A.W. Tozier's wife 'thing'. Maybe he hadn't loved his wife the way he should have. And Tozier's second husband got saved under his ministry. Their having had a lot of kids -- well-- that's what people Did and still Do within marriage.

In one of your posts a while back -- you said that you had 6 kids. So -- what's with the comments about her having had 6 - 7 kids from her second marriage. There are Lots of people who Enjoy that 'experience'.

I did not say she had 6-7 kids by her 2 nd. husband. you read that into the text. "eisgesis". and it seems you miss a lot in the text. of what i applied into it.

Okay -- so she had the 6-7 kids by her 1st marriage. Apparently They liked being married. My point was that you'd said some time back that you and your wife had 6 kids together. But that After you got saved, you decided you loved God more than sex and I can imagine that Your wife probably wasn't to thrilled about that. Or maybe she Was okay with that. Tozier's had a bunch of kids and You had a bunch of kids,

Sometimes you 'apply' to a text what you want to and not what it's intentions are.

You'd Also commented that there are about 100 different definitions of the term "Christian" -- I'd looked it up once -- and there are about 6 or so. But to be Offended by being called a Christian. Well -- to each their own. A Christian can be anything from attending a church at Christmas / Easter to passify family TO being a follower of Jesus Christ and going to church as much as possible to praise and worship Him.

And there Are those who believe that attending a church on Christmas and Easter are all that is necessary. Or that belonging to the RCC is good enough. Or that going to church to take communion is being 'Christian'. And, yes, I Am expounding on the subject.

A person's actions / mannerisms show what's inside. By their fruits we will know them.

ok, what ever you say, concerning definitions. I have never saw in the Bible: the definition of a Christian is "By their fruits you will know them". Bible also says:
…13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their actions.…

Make-up, is made for deception! "Billion dollar industry"! A man can "look just as pretty as a woman" now days :eyes: in the daylight and the night. from head to toe! and make you turn around for the second look!:eyes: and That is a true too!

@PloughBoy -- look at Matthew 7 :20 -- comparing a fruit tree with the Christian life. vs. 16 "you will know them by their fruit -- do men gather grapes from thorn bushes or figs from thistles?" This passage is also talking about false prophets compared to Real ones. Does what they predict come True -- what are they trying to teach. Does it measure up to God's Word that they have? The same applies to Christians' / born again believers, When a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Savior -- the Holy Spirit comes to indwell them. Ephesians 5:9 expounds on that -- for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth,' And also in Galations 5:22 and 23.

You landed on all the negatives. And, yes, by Their actions they are known. But looking at the Positives is a Good thing.

And, yes, this is a fallen world we live in -- Plenty of negatives to dwell on If we Choose to. Plenty of good, Positives to dwell on as well.

Matt. 7: 20 said: nothing about a christian. Jesus is talking about a "Tree"! Matter of fact God has never used the "word" Christian through out the whole bible, but the Homo Sapien, "The Apex Super Predator". Has.

Jesus talking about a " tree" is a cop out and you know it.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

"Trees" do not have such human qualities but humans do so since fruit comes from trees, the " fruit of the Spirit" is that which comes from a human. You do not need to be a "Christian" to grow this fruit, but I bet a true " Child of God" has it hanging from his "tree". Notice; love, gentleness, meekness,

You apparently aren't that kind of tree or are barren in those areas. Might want to add a little " water"- but it is just a friendly suggestion because I know you know how- you just choose not to. Why I cannot understand because no one is trying to crush your spirit.

Are you all done helping Godsangel?

With the Love of Christ Jesus.
