It is pretty simple actually. It starts with Jesus Christ in you and he said it best, you must be "Born Again". Are you born again?
From there, God says that we are saved through our faith(belief) in Grace.
Grace is the same as what Paul refers to the Gospel that he taught:
The Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ; from these is the free gift God gives: The forgiveness of sins, salvation and our inheritance of everything that belongs to Jesus Christ.

Once you have and understand this, then being more Christ like is allowing him to bare his fruits through you and abide in your faith and the Bible says that your faith grows from the very word of God, abide in his word and you will continue to grow more Christ like!

To be more Christ like involves a process in which the Holy Spirit works in the heart of the true believer.
After we are justified and made alive by the Spirit like the wind, then comes the Spirit like the fire which will purge our heart from sin.
God will start then breaking us into a million pieces, through discipline so we may learn total dependence on Him, which is a sign of maturity in faith.

All our problems come from not reflecting Jesus Christ. It's all about Him.
The best place for us to look for the fragrance of Christ is in the gospels.

some times it gets hard .

Our Spirit man once born of God is just like our LORD JESUS! But without all the knowledge and understanding of course!

But FASTING will cause us to live and walk much more in our Spirit!

It very simple ,but it takes effort!
I find fasting three full days ,water only ,reading the bible and praying to Him !
after all, HE said we would fast after He was gone!


Mat 9:15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.


Isa 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?


Isa 58:8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.


Isa 58:9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

Three promises there
We will over come anything that holds us back

Brings health to our bodies

And He will come and speak with us!

Well worth fasting for!

Heb 12:9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

I feel one of the first steps in being more like Jesus after we accept God is to be truly selfless. Sometimes even when we are helping others we are being selfish. Sometimes I think we help others because we feel guilty about something. We are human and never free from sin, but to be more like Jesus we have to try and be as selfless as possible.

The apostle Peter wrote to those "to the temporary residents scattered about in Pon´tus, Ga·la´ti·a, Cap·pa·do´ci·a, Asia, and Bi·thyn´i·a, to the ones chosen", that: "In fact, to this course you were called, because even Christ suffered for you, leaving you a model for you to follow his steps closely. He committed no sin, nor was deception found in his mouth. When he was being reviled, he did not go reviling in return. When he was suffering, he did not go threatening, but kept on committing himself to the one who judges righteously."(1 Pet 2:21-23)

During the course of his ministry, Jesus journeyed "from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news of the kingdom of God."(Luke 8:1) Three days before his death, Jesus said that "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come."(Matt 24:14)

He then gave an illustration of "a man about to travel abroad" who "summoned slaves of his and committed to them his belongings."(Matt 25:14) As this illustration was concerning God's kingdom (Luke 19:11), at Luke 19:12,13, Jesus says: "A certain man of noble birth traveled to a distant land to secure kingly power for himself and to return. Calling ten slaves of his he gave them ten mi´nas and told them, ‘Do business till I come.’ "

Jesus thus gave instructions to his "slaves" concerning "the good news of the kingdom" to "Do business till I come." These "slaves", those who were obedient to their "master", became busy with their master's "minas". What does this mean ? The "man of noble birth", Jesus, who as a "prince", gave his "slaves" or those who become true Christians, instructions to make gains for his minas, kingdom interests. Hence, all who call themselves true Christian are to be busy preaching "the good news of the kingdom", as "a witness to all the nations", making gains of kingdom interests, which is then immediately followed by "the end" coming.

The one "slave" that failed in doing his master's business when the master returned "after having secured the kingly power"(Luke 19:15), was more than reprimanded, but was now called by the master a "good-for-nothing slave" and then ordered thrown "out into the darkness outside."(Matt 25:30) Hence, those that follow in Jesus ' footsteps' will be busy "declaring the good news of the kingdom of God," whereas those who fail to ' declare the good news of the kingdom' are to receive Jesus wrath.

After having chose his twelve apostles, Jesus then sent them forth, telling them to preach: "The kingdom of the heaven has drawn near."(Matt 10:7) Jesus gave instructions, saying: "Into whatever city or village you enter, search out who in it is deserving, and stay there until you leave. When you are entering into the house, greet the household; and if the house is deserving, let the peace you wish it come upon it; but if it is not deserving, let the peace from you return upon you. Wherever anyone does not take you in or listen to your words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off your feet. Truly I say to you, It will be more endurable for the land of Sod´om and Go·mor´rah on Judgment Day than for that city."(Matt 10:11-15)

This places great emphasis on going "from house to house"(Acts 20:20) in order to find teachable individuals about God's kingdom and that to "anyone (that) does not take you in or listen to your words", Jesus "slaves" are to symbolically "shake the dust off their feet," being "clean from the blood of all men" by telling everyone about God's kingdom.(Acts 20:26) This is just one aspect of being Christ like.
